With the growing challenges from environmental protection and fuel oil cost, as well as the fierce competition in the Multi-Purpose Carrier (MPC) market, ODELY MARINE has endeavored to develop a new generation of MPC series. The BLUE WHALE (BW) series, through consultation with our many international prominent and successful clients, incorporated with latest development in technology, features high energy efficiency, environmental friendly, heavy duty and high loading flexibility. Compared with our former designs, the BLUE WHALE series have lower power but suitable speed, more capacity and deadweight, heavy reinforcement, more flexibility and better stability. A good example of BW 25k MPC: with the same ships length, the homogeneous 14t/TEU container intake is 1200TEU, as opposed to 850TEU of a container ship design. Meanwhile the engine power is only half of the original. It should be noted that the concepts in these designs are not restricted to MPCs at all. Anyone of the BW series can also be used as a good chassis of other ship types, such as container ships, bulk carriers, etc. The same 25k MPC above can be easily converted into a container ship due to its huge container intake, or a grain carrier due to its good stability with two out of the total four cargo holds slack, for example. In fact, such series can cover most of the container ships and bulk carriers of similar sizes but with much more competitive market potential. Many of the designs have been delivered and proved good performance in operation. Continuous optimizing through customers feedback is also under way. New types of this series are also in progress. We are hoping this new series become another successful series of ODELY MARINE and bring more benefits to our clients.

Tween deck covers are arranged at three levels and can be stowed in front of superstructure, and can also be used as grain tight bulkheads.
