Yitro Exodus 18:120:(23)26. This Parsha is the 17th of the annual cycle.

The 17th letter of the Hebrew Alef-Bet is the letter Pey , which is connected to the mouth, indicating speech. It also has the letter Bet hidden within it. Thus with this hint it should come as no surprise this is the Parsha where YHVH speaks to His Bride House. What then, is the connection to Jethro, #3503, Yithrow? There is some argument about the literal translation of his name rendered by Strongs as: His Abundance. It is from the root yatar, to remain over, as in a remnant. The existence of a remnant brings about the notion that (a) something can't be exterminated, but (b) that there is more than enough and which leads to connotation of this verb to be abundant or rich. The gematria of his name equals 616, the same as a unique phrase, HaTorah. Lets look at the two-letter root stem, Tav-Resh, which means to search out, explore. (The root of the word for spy, as in to spy out the land) The Yod prefixed to the verb stem indicates 3rd person, future tense, He will, they will. The Vav suffix can indicate his. Thus, it could be rendered He will search out his. We can surmise from the number 17 and this mans name, that YHVH would speak to His Bride (the remnant not exterminated) His Torah, which would search out examine her! Ironically, this is the same tactic YHVH allows Israel to spy out the land! The term Promised Land is literally translated DABAR LAND! Our willingness to become intimate with Torah exposes us as belonging to Him! Those who reject Torah bringing a false report will be cut off like a rebellious, adulterous wife! We know the giving of the Law Torah, the Wedding Ketubah, is found in this parsha and that follows the pattern seen in the declaration above. Yet, we also find Jethro bringing the wife of Moshe, Zipporah, back to him, so how does this fit the pattern? Lets examine this paradoxical passage that has confused many! The Wife of Moshe? Zipporah. Zipporah, #6855, Tsipporah, commonly translated as bird. It comes from the root Tzade-Pey-Resh, tsafar, which means to turn around, to depart early, and to leave. The gematria equals 375, the same as #8071, simlah, a fem. Noun meaning clothing, a garment. Exchanging garments is associated with a new beginning, thus it would seem Zipporah departs early leaves Moshe before Israel experiences this New Beginning. She is only mentioned 3 times in

I.

the Torah and all 3 are in Exodus. The previous mention is in Ch. 4: 25 where with evident disgust she circumcises Gershon, the son of Moshe, throwing the blood at the feet (loins) of Moshe. It would seem, since Israel is clothed with the garments of harlotry while in Egypt and since Zipporah represents that bride being offered an exchange of clothes a new beginning, that she rejects her role and is divorced by Moshe. The simple factors of 375; 3+7+5 = 15, the number associated with the harlot throughout Torah. If we dissect her name in Hebrew, the 3-letter root, #6510, parah sheds more light being translated as a heifer, specifically used in Hosea 4: 16 to reference Israel as a stubborn, rebellious heifer who backslides. This word comes from #6565,

, to divide, to annul, to break or violate. The Tzade placed in front speaks of righteousness and in this case seems to infer her own self-righteousness led her to violate her covenant with Moshe! The Tzade has a value of 90 the same as #5805, azubah, forsaken, abandoned. Additionally, there are several stem words that add clarity to the real meaning. #6852, Sapar, a verb meaning to depart, to leave and #6824, Sapah, a noun indicating a flow, a bloody discharge. These cognates infer that Zipporah departed from the Truth and became once again pagan, giving herself to the Idols of Midian and thus becoming Niddah an unclean Bride. Could this explain Jethros appearance with Zipporah? *Note the word for sent. Sent, #7964, shilluchim, to send away, specifically to divorce. This infers that Moshe sent/divorced Zipporah because she rejects the Covenant of Circumcision thereby embracing her former gods! Are Passover and Circumcision connected??? As Jethro advises Moshe concerning righteous judging, it becomes plain that an uncircumcised heart flesh cannot judge properly! Judging the Small Matters. II. At the instruction of Jethro his father-in-law, Moshes sets leaders in the body who are able to relieve him of some obligations by judging the small matters. Lets look at this for a moment. Small, #6996, qatan, though translated small, insignificant or unimportant, this was only in comparison to the difficult issues. It may seem as if these matters dont merit attention. However, if we look at the same Hebrew letters (each individual letter will always retain its own word-picture)

only arranged differently we see more: #5197, natap, a verb meaning to drip, a dripping. We also have Qof-Nun-Tet, qanet, to vex, make angry and to annoy. These small matters, like the Little Foxes of Song of Solomon 2:15 spoil the vine. Hence the reason Paul is seemingly referring to this Parsha in 1Cor. 6:1-6 where Corinth is admonished for not judging matters within the local congregations. Isnt this just like YHVH? At the advice of Jethro, Moshe sets leaders into the Body. Yet, this fail-safe doesnt work, because they do not handle the little issues properly and we have the Golden Calf incident, the Korah rebellion, etc. However, this was the plan to allow Israel to Judge themselves, so that when YHVH had to send His Judgment there would be no excuse! 1Pet. 4: 1, 17. [The One who has his flesh under control ceases from sin] Ironically, Song of Sol. 2:14, (just one verse before the foxes) speaks of the secret place of the stairs, #4095, madregah. The root here is Dalet-Resh-Gimel, dereq, which means to walk, to make steps or stairs. The Mem prefix hints at a Womb, while the Hey suffix is feminine, and indicates potential birth. Thus, the secret place of the Stairs (the DNA of His Word) makes the womb fruitful, but we must beware of the FOXES and their destruction. Ironically, Israel is presently camped at Rephadim, #7508, ,stays, rests, Balusters, the very place of the stairs where this incident is taking place! Another interesting tidbit? The gematria of madregah equals 252, the same as #2231, zirmah, which indicates a seminal flow! Interesting, since word and seed are interchangeable and we see YHVH releasing His seed/word into Israel in the next chapter of Exodus and yet we also see the Foxes come to destroy the vine in the Golden Calf episode at this very location! Incidentally, the gematria of this word qatan is 159. Its simple factors 1+5+9= 15, again the signature of the adulterous bride! On the other hand, 159 is the value of #4655 miplat, a noun indicating a place of escape, safety, and refuge. Righteous judging in the Body provides this place! This means that we must judge ourselves first before attempting to judge the Camp. It should come as no surprise that this Parsha ends with this verse: Ex. 20: 26. Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

The word for steps here could also be rendered stairs and thus it seems a contradiction is occurring. However, we understand that our nakedness, #6172,

` ervah, shame, which has the same root as #6175, arom, the word used to
describe Adam & Eve after the encounter with the Serpent, precludes us from His Presence, thus we must have one who is able to take the penalty for our nakedness He will cover, Kippur us, and ascend the steps to the Altar on our behalf! Remember the foxes? They spoil the vine. Look at the word spoil, #2254, chabal, to destroy. However, it can also mean to take a pledge to secure a debt. The foxes those who bring destroying words into the Vineyard attempt destruction, yet there is One who took a pledge on our behalf to restore us to the intimacy of the Stairway Rephadim/Sinai, so that we could hear the Words of the Wedding Covenant! The gematria of chabal is 40, the number of years Israel deals with the testing of the flesh, which results in all those who are uncircumcised in the heart to die. 40 is also the limit of stripes that can be inflicted as punishment (Deut. 25:3) How merciful is He to limit the testing and more so, to provide One to take the stripes on our behalf! It has been 40 jubilees [40x50] since Yahshua, our season of testing is almost over judge yourself and then we will judge the foxes! A curious twist to the word Chabal is seen when we change the letters to Chelev, Chet-Lamed-Bet, #2459, which infers the fat of offerings, the best part reserved for YHVH. The enemy comes to destroy what is set-aside, consecrated to Yahweh! If we rearrange the letters again to form Chebel, we have #2256, which means a cord, or rope or a pledge. It was this word used to describe the rope used by Rahab to let down the spies! How does this fit this Parsha? Rahab, #7343, Rachab, this word can be translated, pride, strength, arrogance, boastful, etc. The word used for letting them down, #3381, yarad, to go down, descend, is the root of the word Jordan. Yar Dan, translated River of Judgment. However, it can also mean Yod-Resh, fear, awe, reverence, specifically the fear of YHVH. Weve already looked at the word for spies, Tor, which meant to examine, to test. The word Rachab, is cognate with #7294, rahab, which carries the rebellion, arrogance definition, but goes further to ascribe this name to the Ancient Serpent of Ps. 89:10 who opposed Yahweh in his arrogance. It would seem because of witnessing the Righteous Judgment of YHVH upon the Serpent, the original 10 rebellious spies, the Golden Calf worshippers, and the death of the generation in the wilderness that these two men and Rahab have righteous fear of YHVH It is this fear

that will enable Joshua Yahshua to lead them across the River of Judgment, knowing their own flesh will prevent them from crossing alive, thus, the must place the Ark in the Pierced place of the 2nd Adam (Josh. 3:16) like the white thread which turns scarlet on the horns of the Goat of Azazel, I believe the Rope of Rahab becomes a Scarlet Thread for she and her family and all those who will accept the Promise It is this Blood Pledge of Messiah which enables them to access the Secret Place the Promised Land, the Stairs/ladder of Creation! Isaiah 1: 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. The word for sin is #2399, chet', it has a numeric value of 18, which means life, chai. It is fitting that sin/death & life are inextricably linked for without the shedding of blood His Blood, there is no life. No we know why the woman with the issue of blood death, who had been bound 18 years, is set free on the Sabbath, the Day which is the Seal of that blood Covenant! Isa 1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: Isa 1:20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it].
