Abstract for 60 minute oral presentation

Presentation title: The Relationship Between Gluten Intolerance and Neurotransmitters

Not pharmacy
Audience: Medical Practitioners, Researchers, Students and General Audience

Description:
It is well known that imbalanced neurotransmitter levels impact a patient’s health in numerous ways
leading to the diagnosis of several of the most common medical conditions, including depression, anxiety
and fatigue. Combine this information with the fact that gluten intolerance, one of the most under-
diagnosed conditions in the United States, causes imbalances in neurotransmitter levels, and we come to
discover that helping patients with a common medical condition may be as simple as diagnosing an
intolerance to gluten, a staple in the American diet.
