Development Activity No. 1 1. - SKYPE System Explained What is video conferencing? The Video Conference is an interactive system that allows multiple users to maintain a virtual conversation via real-time transmission of video, audio and text over the Internet.

This requires use of specialized equipment that allows you to make a connection anywhere in the world without the need to move to a venue. These systems are specifically designed to carry out training sessions, meetings, product demonstrations, training, support, customer service, product marketing, etc..

The system has the ability to stream audio and video and contains additional tools such as screen sharing, chat and file transfer.

Why use video conferencing in the educational process? Overall the benefits of using video conferencing are: Decreases the distances, reducing time and costs. Promotes and increases the productivity of work and study teams. Maximize the time of teachers and students. Strengthens participation and relationships between people. Improved information systems and communication in the educational process. Accelerate the process of decision making and problem solving.

Video conferencing has become a technology that has been placed within the reach of all students and teachers both. Among the biggest advantages for students, academic and research are:
