    BASKET-STITCH SCARF

    A basic yet elegant scarf pattern.

    MATERIALS:
    Patons Classic Wool Merino (approx. 300g) 4mm needles

    GAUGE:
    20sts. over 4 inches

    DIRECTIONS:
    Cast on 45 sts. BASKET PATTERN: Rows 1 & 3: (p5, k3) to last 5 sts., p5 All WS rows: knit the knit sts. and purl the purl sts. Rows 5 & 7: p1 (k3, p5) to last 4 sts., k3, p1 End with RS row. Repeat Basket Pattern until scarf is 60 long, or desired length. Cast off.
