Education
Sep 2006 - MEng, Aerospace Engineering (1st class honours), Queen Mary, University of London, Mile Jul 2010 End Road London, E1 4NS, UK.
The design and manufacture of a human powered aircraft (MEng group project) The aim of this projects was to design, manufacture and test a human powered aircraft capable of competing in the "Leonardo Da Vinci" class of the Worthing Birdman Competition 2010. The group consisted of 5 individuals each having an aspect of the project assigned to them. The tasks undertaken: Airfoil selection Aerodynamic (lift and drag) calculations Drag reduction methods Model design and testing CAD modelling using AutoCAD

Using the lifting line theory and the Prandtls power law equations, an estimate of the lift and drag forces were determined. Some work on the drag reduction methods were also studied, i.e. the benets of winglet implementation for a human powered aircraft. Trailing edge loss (3rd year project) An investigation was conducted to understand the aerodynamic losses found at the trailing edge in subsonic ow. These losses can lead to signicant reduction in the eciency of turbines and compressor blades because of the entropy creation associated with them. The eect of trailing edge geometry was tested both experimentally and computationally.
