Mother dairy was founded by in the year of 1974, as pure subsidiary of NNDB. Its headquarter is in Delhi India. In 1988, mother dairy launches its vegetable & fruit product under the branch name of Safal in 2004 they added fruits iuices under product portfolio of Safal The vegetable NDDB project merged into a mother wholly dairy owned and the fruit &

Today Mother dairy is one of the fully automatic dairy plants. Its holding capacity of 10 , 00,000 liter per day. Raw milk is supply by village co -operative by the means of tanker vans which can bring 10000 to 15000 liter milk in each van only. Ahmadabad uses 11 lack liters of milk in which they use 5.5 lack liter milk of Amul. Mother dairy a concerned with the 10,000 villages, which provided raw milk for 2 times. Mother dairy markets its products under a very powerful brand name Amul. It produces many things under the brand name of Amul. i.e. Amul Ghee, Amul milk etc. It makes very special kind of milk called UHT(U tra Hit treated) milk which can t expired before 3 months of packed. This milk generally has been exported outside Mother Diary is well known dairy in Gujarat and is a leading supplier of milk products to Ahmedabad. It was started in 194 because the members of the milk union faced problem of keeping the surplus milk so for that was stated

Mother Dairy UHT Milk is thick, tasty & completely natural, containing no preservatives . Regular milk is put through a process known as UHT (Ultra Heat Treatment) that makes the milk completely germ-free. The milk is then

packed in a special six -layer package that preserves the milk for up to 120 days without refrigeration. Also, the milk needs no boiling and can be drunk straight from the pack. Currently, UHT Milk is available as: Toned Milk (with just 3% milk fat) Double Toned Milk (with just 1.5% milk fat)

Paneer (Panir) refers to two types of cheese that were originally found in the area that today encompasses Iran, India and Pakistan. One variety of Paneer has little acidity and has a modest amount of salt added. Ex: Madhur milk, utam milk end Amul milk both have prices for 500ml. milk is Rs. 6 and like the same prices has Dudhsagar its turnover during the year was 350 crores. It show the good performance in limited area.

MPORTANT OBSERVATION
The most important observation during the visit was the hygiene factor present there. The premises and the plant area was clean, the employees have the orders not to touch milk with bare hands and they get their machines and silos cleaned every weekend to ensure that the milk produced is safe for the customers .Moreover, they have a specific TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) policy for everything like for distribution, energy conservation, environment etc. and KAIZEN policy for all the employees which they have to follow . They have these policies as strict code of conduct as they are manufacturing milk which requires purity and hygiene and to give the best to the customers the company needs to do this. That is why their policies can be seen at most of the places in the premises
