Last march 7, 2013 we went to Silang Cavite, Tagaytay to visit Gourmet farm. Because we have the subject agricultural entrepreneurship, we have visit personally a farm so that we can see the actual crops and how the farmers do the diffrent process of taking good care of their crops. Another reason is for us to learn something new about farming. I really love the place because of its fresh air and beatiful ambiance. When i was there, i forgot all my problems and all I did was to have fun and enjoy the place. Gourmet Farms, Inc. (GFI) started in1987 as a manufacturer of freshly ground coffee blend and, on a limited scale, a producer of herbal teas and organically grown greens and exotic herbs. It was not long before GFI built a small cafe right on the farm itself to serve as an outlet for its sought after freshly brewed coffee as well as a showcase for its produce. Im glad to see the different crops in their farm, like tomatoes, hot pepper and many more. But what Ive enjoyed so much is when we went to lettuce plantation. I learned that there are many kinds of lettuce. Lettuces were bountiful and one can imagine bringing their favorite dressing, sit by the plants and just pick on the leaves and make instant salad. We experienced how to harvest our own lettuce. Our guide told us to pick four lettuces as souvenirs. I had fun harvesting my own lettuce and I didnt notice that i got five lettuces. We also visit the different herbs in their farm. I was able to drop by Gourmet's farm and experienced for myself nature tripping at its best. Fresh rosemary, thyme, basil, and parsley where systematically planted in the farm which is almost the size of a hacienda. The

landscape and weather are perfect for a relaxing getaway, breathe in as much fresh air as you can. Gourmet Farm also has a restaurant where you can enjoy their produce among other menu items. We tried their banaba iced tea super refreshing, fresh, and healthy. Banaba has been known for its effects on controlling glucose in the blood making it ideal for diabetes, hypertension, and kidney problems. Its purgative properties also help in expelling abdominal toxins. I had so much fun visiting this farm and hoping to visit again next time. I went home with fresh lettuce and parsley on the pot. Our next destination is Kampo Trexo located at Alfonso, Cavite. For me, Kampo Trexo is an outdoor experience that offers just the right amount of rustic environment, the right outdoor climate, fresh air, cool breeze and the gentle heat of the sun; a respite from a confining city life. In the mountains of Metro Tagaytay, is an outdoor experience that gives you just the right amount of rustic environment and climate. I tried wall climbing and rappelling. At first, I was so nervous and my body was shaking because Im afraid of heights. I was thinking not to try it or to give up that challenge, but I have to face my fear and believe in myself that I can do it like what my classmates did, even though theyre afraid, they still tried their best to conquer their fear. Because of that, I decided to finish all the activities and believe in myself that I can do it and I can conquer my fears on heights. When my turn came, I never show negative side, just thinking positive that I can do the wall climbing. Though Im really nervous, I still tried my best to finish it and thanks God that he didnt let me to give up. I was very happy because I did it and finished it. Next I tried rappelling and zip line. We also experienced the obstacle course. I enjoyed crawling in the mud and because of excitement I forgot to take off my shoes before I get into the mud. After that my clothes and shoes are full of mud and I washed it many times. Im so happy that I experienced that kind of activities. I really enjoyed our stay at the site and hoping to visit again next time.
