APRIL 2013 The whole month of April is a time for consolidating our gains.

The last few months have been hectic beyond belief. Even though Aries is the sign of new beginnings, we are working with what is already in motion. With Venus and Mars in Aries and both switching to Taurus later in the month, we will find our romantic endeavors to be forceful at the beginning, but then gradually settling down from the middle until we are mostly sedentary by the end. Mars (god of war) is active all month so we are inevitably prompted to move forward. The New Moon is at 20 degrees of Aries on April 10th at 5:36 AM EDT. With Uranus in Aries and the New Moon Conjunct Mars and Venus (the male and female planets) we are off to a month that promises romance and sparks and well as innovation and adventure. We may feel split much of the time as our emotions pick up ahead of steam, but our cognitive facilities may be in a visionary(Mercury in Pisces) and fearful pattern (Saturn Sesquiquadrate from Scorpio). Some things are past their prime and others are not yet mature. Small tangible gains are made all month but it is really a time for planning. Sun enters Taurus on April 19th at 6:04 PM EDT showing the emphasis this month will be on harnessing our overactive intellect to practical issues. With Venus (goddess of love) Opposite Saturn (lord of limitation) we can feel rejected even when everything is really fine. With Mercury (planet of cognition) Conjunct Uranus (god of infinite wisdom) our mind is perpetually restless, and with Mars (god of war) rising before the Sun, people are definitely in the mood to put their thoughts into action, all month. The April 25th Full Moon is an Eclipse occurring at 3:58 PM EDT at 5 degrees of Taurus/Scorpio. It is a time of finishing up some long standing project. We need to let go of what we cant complete. This is one of the most important times this year to meditate as it is both an Eclipse and also the Wesak Festival. This is the time that the Buddha returns to earth to give us a giant push forward. It happens every year with the Sun in Taurus Opposing the Moon in Scorpio. This is the time that the Buddha was born, obtained his enlightenment, and left his physical form. With Saturn (lord of karma) Conjunct the Moon and Opposing the Sun, the principle of what must be done is upon us. With Jupiter (lord of abundance) Sextile both Mercury and Uranus, we can still innovate while we gain deep insight. From the 1st to the 7th we have many interests and an ever expanding horizon of opportunities. Still, the relevance of our lives all boils down to the composition and quality of relationships. Cultivate connections of importance even if they unfold slowly.

From the 8th to the 14th clarifying vision and beliefs may take some extra work but it is worth the effort. New insights and methods emerge out of unlikely conversations. Be ready for an unexpected turn of events. From the 15th to the 21st our energy is at a new high as excitement and positive expectations lift everyones spirits. We find circumstances changing very fast; as one opportunity disappears another one magically pop up. From the 22nd to the 30th there are so many stops and starts that it is hard to get a consistent rhythm. This can lead to misunderstandings. Passions are high but somewhat directionless. Aim for clarity before commitment. 1st Monday Sun Sextile Jupiter - Feeling positive and testing new information goes a long way towards building friendships. Sharing time, ideas, and goodwill helps make the day better for everyone. 2nd Tuesday By concentrating on practical concerns we are able to feel productive and useful. A few kind words and some common courtesy can help us find harmony and inner resolution. 6th Saturday Mars Semi-square Neptune, Venus Semi-square Neptune, Venus Conjunct Mars - Working to puncture illusions and preconceptions can put us on the road to genuine togetherness. We are in both a forceful and a romantic mood. Our ideals get a real workout. 7th Sunday It is easy to just drift and to feel at loose ends. We are most productive by focusing our attention on our long range goals and our enduring ideals.

8th Monday Sun Parallel Venus, Sun Semi-square Neptune We are in a hurry to make our relationships everything we think they should be. Some things take time to work out and we must be careful that we dont damage our ideals by trying to rush everything. 9th Tuesday With some effort and a little luck we are able to spark a new romance or fill in the blanks for our current primary relationship. The electric twist of love in the air adds sparkle to everything we do today. 10th Wednesday Mercury Sesquiquadrate Saturn, Venus Parallel Mars the New Moon is at 5:36 AM EDT at 20 degrees of Aries - Hard work and unbelievable luck allows us to find common ground where it looks like there was none. The whole world gets a chance to recalibrate. But, what doesnt bring harmony will certainly bring conflict as the middle ground disappears. 11th Thursday Try as we might, it is hard to keep our spirits light. It is important to remember that life is very short and there is no time for fussing and fight. Commit to being part of the solution. 12th Friday Pluto turns Retrograde, Mercury Contra-parallel Uranus, Sun Parallel Mars, Saturn Quincunx Uranus - When we push too hard we only push people away. If we take the time to dive deep into our own internal life, we discover what is really important. 13th Saturday Mercury enters Aries - Clarity of thought gives us the gift of making common sense decisions quickly and then moving forward with great efficiency. Conversation is good but too many options means nothing happens. However, to be worthy of our good fortune, we need to think of others and share our abundance. Now is the time to enjoy life. 19th Friday Mercury Quincunx Saturn Sun enters Taurus We need to switch activities; in so doing, our perspective changes and we see more clearly how to achieve our goals. Despite setback and disappointments, the general tenor is optimistic, progressive, and experimental. Make new friends and share ideas. 24th Wednesday Venus Trine Pluto, Sun Sextile Neptune Dont be afraid to put your whole heart into your current activities. Common concerns seem to be elevated to a higher manifestation while still being grounded in practicalities.

25th Thursday The Full Moon is at 5 degrees at Taurus/Scorpio at 3:58 PM EDT we may need to release some of our past in order to really embrace the future. There is a strong spiritual atmosphere today. Meditation can be especially fulfilling as the energy has reached a fever pitch; all we need to do is reach out for it. 26th Friday Mercury Semi-square Neptune, Mars Sextile Neptune Confusion disappears as we put our ideals into action. Motion cures the worry. We are moving into a new dimension of thought and expression. 27th Saturday What do we have that is ultimately built to last? We are deciding what stays and what goes. This is a very important moment in all our lives. We have all changed as our culture has evolved. 28th Sunday Sun Opposite Saturn, Venus Semi-sextile Jupiter There is no substitute for patience; we are sometimes stopped from doing things that would have hurt us.
