What Is Remote Visual Inspection?

A technique to see the things that you havent been able to see before!
Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) is used to visually inspect plant components for surface defects, general condition, degradation, blockages, and foreign material. It can be used as a stand-alone inspection or as a complement to other Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) techniques, such as eddy current, ultrasonic, or X-ray, in order to qualify unclear signals or pinpoint where a more thorough inspection is needed. Everest RVI specializes in Remote Visual Inspection. We engineer and manufacture robotic cameras to visually inspect remote, hazardous, or inaccessible areas, such as pipes, tanks, vessels, turbines, pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, and other plant components. Video Crawler Goes Vertical
Everest RVIs newest addition to the service group is the PTZ Magnetic Crawler. This system combines some of the best features of other Everest RVI products to give our technicians one of the most innovative inspection systems available today. These features include: PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera head capable of 10x optical and 4x digital for a total of 40x zoom High-intensity lighting All-Wheel-Drive maneuverability Up to 600 feet of travel Removable magnetic base This combination of features allows Everest RVI to inspect areas that in the past were inaccessible. Our technicians can navigate through applications that require the crawler to climb vertically, negotiate downcomers and other obstacles in the bottom of pipelines, and zoom into points of interest.
