APPLICATION FORM SHOULD BE DOWNLOADED IN LEGAL PAGES (BOTH SIDE)
1. Medium of instructions is Bengali/ English 2. Age limit for Fresher candidate is 35 years as on 01.07.2013. There is no age limit for Deputed Teacher candidates. Selected candidates shall have to reside within a reasonable proximity of the Institution.

3. Eligibility: Minimum marks in qualifying examination: i. Candidates should be graduate (10+2+3) from recognized university. ii. For fresher Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in Bachelors degree /or in the Masters degree. For Masters Degree, courses of two years duration will be considered for scoring. iii. For fresher candidates, in case of honours graduates, only the marks obtained in honours subject will be considered. In case of pass graduates total marks obtained in pass & honours subjects if any, will be considered. 4. Fresher Candidates: For fresher candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each method subject (1st Method) based on scoring.
Out of total seats in the fresher category, 95% are meant for the students of the Kalyani University and 5% for the students other than Kalyani University students. Reservation of seats for SC/ST/PH candidates as per Govt. Rules (Minimum disability 40%). Relaxation of minimum qualifying marks as per Govt. rules.

Students of Kalyani University means the highest degree to be considered for scoring and also the Registration Certificate should be from University of Kalyani.

method subject, to such candidates who have not studied at least two school subjects at their graduation level
7. Admission procedure for B.Ed Course (Fresher): Admission will be given on the basis of scores against marks obtained in qualifying examinations and as per norms of University and NCTE. Scores against marks for different level of examinations will be as follows: (i ) Madhyamik/equivalent Examination - 10 (ii) Higher Secondary Examination -10 (iii) B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com (pass) - 10 (iv) MA/ M.Sc/ M/Com -20 (v) B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com (Hons) - 20 (vi) M. Phil. -05 (vii)Ph. D. - 08 (ix) D.Sc /D.Lit - 12

8. Distribution of Scores against marks for different examinations will be as follows:

For scoring, the marks obtained in best five subjects excluding Environmental Studies in H. S. will be considered. 9. Deputed Teachers (as per norms of NCTE) of recognized Secondary & Higher Secondary School of West Bengal are eligible to apply.
For Deputed Candidates: Merit list will be prepared according to service length (Teaching Experience) considered separately in two groups, namely: 1. Arts & Commerce. 2. Science. Applicants deputed by School must submit an attested copy of M.C. resolution approval of Service in regard to his/her service with the form. Following additional documents should be furnished on the day of admission in the Institution without fail: (1) Released order from the Headmaster / Headmistress. (2) Attested copy of M.C. resolution in regards to his/her deputation. (3) Three Copies of passport size photographs of the applicant. (4) A certificate showing information is to be submitted from the secretary or Headmaster/Headmistress (where he/she is serving) and counter signed by the D.I. of Schools of the district concerned showing the following points: a. Certified that the School is in receipt of aid on full deficit/ lum grand basis or that school in unaided or salary deficit scheme one. b. Certified that He/She is duly approved teacher. c. Last pay drawn on 1st July 2013 is Rs.-------------------(Rupees -------------------------only) N.B. No increament of pay will be given from the Institution. Deputed candidates are directed to report to the Institution immediately after the admission along with his /her fee book for deputation. Payment of deputation allowance and stipend will be made on receipt of grant from the Competent Authority. The University will in no case be liable for the delay in payment of deputation allowance and stipend.

Candidate who are pursuing any course in the University of Kalyani or any other University during 2013-14 academic session are not eligible for admission to the B. Ed. course for the session 2013-14.

List of probable candidates (DEPUTED AND FRESHER) eligible for admission in order of merit will be walled up on 20.05.2013at the University Notice Board. Admission will be made through Central Admission Programme (CAP). Date of counseling for admission will be announced on 20.05.2013. Application forms can be downloaded and received from 18.03.2013 to 04.04.2013 between 11.00 a .m. and 3.00 p.m. Classes would be commenc on and from 1st July 2013.
1. Information for academic score, date of birth etc. in the form are to be attested. Attestation should be done by Gazetted Officer/ Head Master of Secondary or Higher Secondary School/Principal of college/ Full-time officer of college or university/ teacher not below the rank of Assistant Professor of a college or university. Application fee (Rs.300/- for SC/ST-Rs.150/-) is to be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India using the three parts Fee Payment Challan .
