I have been toiling with the idea of why I do what I do. After much contemplation, my primary focus has become two-fold. The first goal is to ensure that the decisions I make result in effective outcomes for the children that I serve. The other is to become extremely knowledgeable in coaching teachers towards enhancing their instructional and relational practices. I want the norm to be that every child is under the instruction of a highly effective teacher both academically as well as relationally. I just believe that we have become so consumed with programs, meetings, and fruitless professional PD trainings that we miss our ultimate mission. We have to keep a constant pulse on our students, staff, and parents to ensure that they are given the appropriate support that they need for continued success.
