Hi Friends, We should understand the necessity of oil price hike in last few years. As much the government is responsible to this the public is also same responsible. Government had to announce their reform policies much earlier to hike the rupees in terms of dollar and to compete with international market. I have seen government is always under pressurize by the oil companies. Also govt. Must have to always search for alternate to petrol. Because if the Oil price hike continues in the same rate then its not in the capacity of normal man to buy and use for their vehicles. Here I have to give one example of Brazil. Brazil is use molasses as the alternative to petrol and it is 10 times better than petrol. Govt must appreciate the molasses based engine in our country and subsidized the same. In other hand Public is also responsible for oil price. There are some ways to consume less oil and save money on oil products. Like Use public transport, use bicycle for short distances (its good for health too) , don't give the vehicles to the person less than 18 years. From my opinion only one things is important to save some bucks on oil prices i.e. Everybody should use the oil in very efficient way.
I don't think that MNC's are devils in disguise. There are lots of advantages from MNCs such as: 1. They provide us lots of job with good salary. 2. Provide better quality of products. 3. Provide those product or services which we are not able to buy in our country. 4. Provide fast and easy services. 5. Help in improving our education system. 6. Help in improving living standard. 7. Improving our financial and economical conditions. 8. Inspire youths of our country and so on. But yes I agree that MNCs take lots of work from our people. They call their employee in late night shift and take work 12-14 hrs which is bad for health of any person. So our government has to ban these things by giving notice to these MNCs that they have no right to take work from any employee for more than 8 hrs. There should be maximum time limit of work which should not be exceeded. As some Indian companies like RELIANCE, TATA GROUPS etc are also MNCs and earn profit throughout the world then I think MNCs are not bad. Yes it is true that due to these MNCs our Indian companies are not famous because people attracts towards the foreign products more than the Indian product. But this is the fault of Indian company. If they increase the quality of their product and their services and decrease the rate of the products then they will also become famous and demand.
Yes I think Indians are generally less quality conscious, but not all Indians. This thing depends on a person itself, to which thing he give more priority- to QUANTITY or to QUALITY. Lets take an example of a poor family, what that Indian has to do with quality of food, clothes and shelter. Now take an example of a rich family, that Indian will consider, will stress only to quality, only to brands. All good Indians who are having considerable money prefers quality. I personally prefer quality than quantity. Since our 80% of India's population is in poverty so I can generally conclude that Indians are less quality conscious. That is the reason China sends its less quality products, 3-4th class products to India and 1-2 class products to USA because it knows that everything can be easily sold in Indian Market, be it worse or of best quality. But yes of best quality also. Thank You.
Yes, Consumer is a king, As the customer decide's the seller, quality, place to buy the product's changes the business of individual Seller, when it come's to aggregate seller, the thought will shortly differ's. Apart from this, there will be some other instances which survive's the producer in the market. Income of public is also place's a very crucial role in change's in demand for the product. A Peon who is coming in cycle to office will decide's to purchase the Bike after he got promotion as a clerk. Now, the demand of cycle industry reduce's and the demand shift's to Bike Industry. It may be any Bike but the demand for Bike Industry Increases. Here, we are not talking about one Peon, we can take into consideration the person who is in low level in any company, Likewise, the person who is a clerk already using the bike will take the car once he/she became the manager. And hence, here also demand shift's from bike industry to car industry. By this we can clearly say that economy is the king. Seller's will always say customer's are king and do all the activities & action's to attract the customer. Let we think about our human behavior, we always wish to make friendship with the king's not with the beggar's right, It's true we show some mercy, but, we always show some respect to the king's. Here, the question arises who is the king. In the eye's of Customer's, the reputation of the product, the service provided by the seller, eye contact while selling, soft words, create a feeling in the heart of customer to purchase from this seller again and again. So, here, seller is the king in the eye's of customer. By this we can easily say that the seller who create many activities to attract customer by giving discount, talking closely with customer, asking well wish, and selling quality product with less profit creates the demand for his own product and he will survive for longer period in the market. By this we can clearly say that customer is not a king. He is searching for the king & get the benefit from the best king in the market. Only king can give what ever his public want's. That's why seller is the king because customer are not fool to purchase by giving more money for less quality product.
inadequate of medicines and many other causes ones does not want to go, but money is a very important factor. Treatment is being done at lower cost. But if we look at private hospitals, it is well equipped, good infrastructure, good quality of doctors, also he give service hours, but the cost is high general people can not afford it. Commercialization is good because its provide better treatment. Government should give subsidy to poor in an indirectly way. One thing I would like to add here that, government expense money to improve the quality of hospitals but anti social element is also responsible for this. Dedication should be present in every human, thus we can improve well. If we think from a different angle where there a lack of government hospitals people goes to private for saving their life, by private mortality rate of India has gone increased.
Commercialization of health care has both positive and negative aspects. In a country like India where there are no prime facilities for health care in government hospitals people prefer to visit private hospitals, where they are treated very gently, but even collect a huge sum as bill. They are equipped with sophisticated equipment also. And people who cannot afford to spend money in private hospitals? What about them? In government hospitals, the doctors appointed are definitely very skilled, but the doctors do not give their 100%. They are opening private clinics and advising their patients to meet them in their clinic. And even the medicines given are not also efficient to cure the diseases. So it is essential for the people to migrate to private hospitals. The Government should take immediate action and provide genuine medicines and also increase the working hours of the doctors so that they are available to the patients all the time, and also equip the hospitals with the so called equipment available in private hospitals ! Even the people are not safe after going to private hospitals, because many tests are conducted simply in private hospitals which are not at all necessary !
Is there any Point in having a Business Strategy when the World changes from Month to Month?
According to my point of view nothing is static in this world and the same rules are applied to the business. A strategy is needed in each and every phase of life so as in business. In this world of cutting edge competition also there can be strategies which are long lasting for eg that used by apple and facebook. Apple realized the power of applications and used as its one of its strategies and Facebook realized the power of the customer's eyeballs which are there on Facebook for 24*7 and both are gaining a lot from their respective strategies. So strategies must be applied to the business but keeping in mind the demand and needs of the society.
A good business strategy should cover the various aspects that contribute to the success of the concerned business. The goals, objectives, feasilbily, constranints (time, labour, finance, tecnology) , the scope, potential, profit and the various risks involved. Only a foolish king would have headed for a war without strategy. The world changes. Sure thing. People Change too. But not their needs. A sytematic approach to anything will take us on the path of success. It also allows us identify any mistake or error made by us quickly. Making and Following a business strategy definitely involves hardwork and being disciplined. But it is a sure-shot path to success. An ad-hoc approach could lead to stress & unhealthy lifestyle.
Hello friends, first I would like to say something, that what is the patent in my point of view "Patent is the protection of the rare idea OR things which is created by the hard work and creativity". Why the patent is good for India.
By the patent a person can get security about his/her discovery which there hard work ant there unique creativity. Only patent can give reward of the invention, because when a person invent something he/she had used there big part of time to create something but what they have create it's price not will be as much as they had given the time and don the hard work. By the selling the patent they can get there incentive which they can't get without patent & it's also encourage the people to innovation and discovering the new idea to do something. But there should be some rules and regulation for the patent. Patent should not give for the natural things we can say patent only give for that things which a person have create very new and after given the patent, peoples existing needs and activity should not effected. For the give the patent there should be a appropriate rules and regulations for the example. What will be time period for the patent. It should be check that patent gainer did not stole any idea from the other people or things which he/she is going to take patent. By the given patent it's negative effect should not com on the people existing right & needs.
I agree with the statement that public sector gives 100%job security. But getting the job in public sector is very difficult, not just only because of selection criteria but also the inculsion of politicians and currupt people in the selection panel but also because of the reservation category and curruption. In India only 6 industries are under government sector after new industrial policy 1991, so there is less no. Of job in govt. Sector. Even if the govt. Job gives the 100% job security, there are less chances of promotion in govt sector which is drawback of the govt sector. In govt sector people become lazy because they know there job is secured for lifetime and they do not work properly on job. While in private sector people work hard and complete the task provided to them. Even in reccession period the dedicated/ committed employees of the private sector is not terminated but the lazy people get terminated who do not work properly because of cost cutting measures of the organisation and reduce unneccesary labour turnover which is very essential for every company. Due to 100 % job security in govt sector the govt sector suffer loss if govt sector uses the cost cutting method govt sector never suffer loss which is ultimately bared by us only.
Capitalism is a very Flawed System but the others are so much worse
Capitalism and Socialism are two opposite economic environments. Each economic environment has its own flaws in aggregate view, but a good economic environment is one which has less flaws when compared to other.
Difference: Socialism is complete control of government over individual and capitalism lets an individual to his free will. This clearly implies that socialism is a breach of human rights and freedom thus having no scope for the word independence in a socialistic nation. To ensure human rights we must employ capitalism. Problem with capitalism: There are problems with capitalism too. Individuals can thrive natural resources, the increase in the gap between rich and poor. Solution: Natural resources are those which belong to everyone. So government should control the areas which are essential for survival like food and medicine. Government should give subsidies to those who are really poor. A developed country is a country in which citizens are well developed. So it is a chance given to citizens to develop or not. If citizens are reluctant for development, government can't develop. When government is giving subsidies poor people are very happy to live like poor. So it is left to the poor whether to leave their poverty by working or not. If they can't work, government is still giving them subsidies, they can use the previliges but they must not remain in poverty so long. And finally government should give equal opportunity to both rich and poor. It should not concern more about rich or poor. Both should be equal before government. The most important of all that government must do is to educate its citizens about their rights and law. Socialism + Democracy is joke but Capitalism + Democracy is an act of preserving human rights. Indian system (mixed economy) is a good system but it must be more capitalistic to be excellent. I think the two main problems with India are uneducated poor and the delay in taking decisions in government. I am uninterested in commenting on nations but here is fact. China is now facing sex ratio problems. The ratio of women : men is deminishing due to its policy one or none.
capitalism can be good for the nation if the government running that nation doesn't favour the rich industrialists who are acquiring good contol in the market because it can widen the gap between rich and poor. On the other hand socialism can be stressed side by side to favour lower class people which are deprived sections of the society. On the other hand China is a good example of communalism because the nation is progressing fast on its way to become a developed nation. Thus it simply implies that a nation can definately progress in communalism if the government cares for its people and plays an important role in the development of the nation unlike the countries such as myanmar etc. I don't agree with what Mis Anisha has said about the riots taking place in the country. Small things happen everywhere and they can be controlled. And I have read from a guy above that China is having more population than India but still its progressing fast thats okay but its not the only reason because the China is three times larger than India in terms of area and it has little more population than India. The communist government there has strictly made the rules for families to not to have more than one child and with this rule they have successfully controlled the increasing population there whereas in India this rule can never be implemented in a democracy because the politicians only see the votebanks here and nothing else. This will result in the declining of resources and so lot of inflation. So we see here the communist government is better than democratic government for the progress of countries like India.
Government Pumping Money into the Economy is not the Solution for our Economic Problems
Government should spent money on certain areas and a board of members should be kept in place to monitor and track the progress. Govt can also get into public + private partnership in raising funds and providing basic sanitation for families below the poverty line. In states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka where IT, ITES, BPO has taken a new face, billions of Foreign Direct Investments [FDI] are flowing in. Govt, should redefine tax policies in other states so that more & more MNCs would set up the OPERATION bases in INDIA. Ex: Andhra has learned these technique and now the benefit AP State has got is Microsoft has invested billions of $ in setting up the largest Development center in Hyderabad outside which is the largest outside USA also FACEBOOK has its BASE in Hyderabad [only operational office in INDIA]. As IT/ITES/BPO are getting popular amount the youngsters now, families living in Rural villages are getting loans for their children to sent them to engineering colleges. Govt can share the burden of these poor farmer and reduce the interest rates of the education loans. India needs to grow more in areas like sanitation, integrated sewage system, infra us and transport facilities. Airports, Ports, Bus stations should be upgrade with more facilities and easy access to major towns, cities. As we can see Market is not stable and also India's rupees against US dollar is around 55 rupees IMPORT & EXPORT will redefine the GDP growth of our economy, Govt needs to setup a special team to analyze and provide input to the Finance Ministry for stable GDP growth. Being Agricultural Country in background, Gov. should provide beneficial mass health policies to the rural families. Also Govt need to take steps against unemployment, If unemployment is killed, we could see smile on all the youngsters.
Pumping money in economic is not solution there are various factor which affects our economy like. 1. Export & Import-India is main importer of crude oil and other various commodities and export is very less so we should think in export perspective of commodity. Government should deduce their subsidy on exporting to growing export. 2. Debt Market-every individual try to deposit their money in bank at risk free rate there only 10 % of population deposits their money in debt instrument if government should attract investor in debt market so our economy can boost. 3. To provide special facility for establish new entrepreneur's in country because its supports production and provide employment and deduct the import. 4. We should think in terms of education in village which can help to grow our economy. 5. Our country is mainly depend on agriculture so we should provide new technology to the farmers and provide subsidy in fertilizers and pesticides. These factor can grow our economy if we would think on that side. Pumping of Money in Economy means contribution or extra money. Extra money comes from which sources: if RBI print new notes and pump in the market the result outcomes is huge inflation and the mismatch of Demand & supply. So that pumping money in the economy is not only a solution but searching new
scheems like increse the production of crops, by increse the amount of export material and changing the intrest rate, CRR and Repo rate government solve the problem of economy.
as per my opinion Government Should Give Subsidy on Agriculture but Government need to work on The channel to provide Subsidy to farmer. because the Current Channel to serve the Subsidy is not properly reach to Farmers .only 25% is reach to farmer & remaining 75 % Subsidy is Utilized By the Mediates Large Percentage of Farmer have less land also illiterate & less Educated ,there are a lot of Obstacles to reach the Subsidy the Another benefit of Subsidy is that Subsidy in cash basis which Generate More employment as well as increase Satisfactory level in to the beneficiary & also At percent time Agriculture passing from a challenging way that is to providing the Food all the population which is increasing very fast. we have Limited Source( Agriculture Land),that by we need to farming with modern Agriculture technology to adopt the Modern technology which is Very Costly for Small & marginal Farmer so they Need Financial(Subsidy) from Government Agriculture role in Country GDP is 18% So this is the Big Nos & Also need to Boost in The way of Subsidy
Indian Agricultural Sector has many challenge on its field. Brilliant Brains of India don't involve them in this sector as it is not so worthy to them. Larger percentage of Indian farmers have less land and are basically illiterate or less educated -these are the obstacles to understand and apply the technology. Moreover the Government Subsidies don't reach to themselves as the larger part of the subsidies are theft by the middlemen or bought by the rich farmers. Due to gambling on monsoon and for less use of Alternative methods like Crop Rotation have made it riskier whereas Crop Insurance facility to the farmers are not so wide. In the case of Irrigation, they are more dependent on Underground Water and lesser in Canal Water -which is more costly. The Infrastructure of Storing Crop, like Cold Storage are not available on every area -this is why 30% of Yearly Production of Vegetables in India are rotten. Marginal Farmers can't sell their product directly in the Market -this is how they run themselves in loss and gradually take steps toward suicide. Government should take appropriate steps to face these challenges- providing higher rate of subsidies to the marginal farmers and lower rate to the rich farmers; providing appropriate teaching of innovative methods to every farmer; growth of Canal and Tank Irrigation should be accelerated and a Large Chain of Cold Storage should be created and most importantly, Low Rate Loans and Crop Insurance Facility should be provided to every marginal farmer. The Govt should also Inspect the Proper Distribution of Subsidy. This is how the Government should meet the challenges and ensure the Farm Productivity beside protecting the Farmers Life.
Yes and No.There are certain companies in India which are far better than MNCs in their respective business world. But its true that majority of Indian companies do lack the competitive advantage over the MNCs.We can classify the Indian companies in two categories:private sector and public sector. In public sector majority of companies despite having the huge potential for growth are suffering a lot due to government regulations, unnecessary red tape, inflexible management and huge workforce. In private sector some of the companies have gone global and they are giving a tough competition to other MNcs.For example Tata steel toady is the 5th largest steel group in world after it acquisition of Corus in 2007.Reliance,Infosys,wipro,LNT are well known established firm toady with a very strong market penetration in different parts of world. Even in Public sector, there are some companies which are doing good.BHEL and ONGC are good examples.I think that main reason for this sluggishness on part of PSUs is rampant corruption, lack of good working environment and not so attractive salary compared to MNCs.But lets not forget the fact that its the INDIAN who runs the silicon valley of America, its an Indain who created the world's largest steel company Arelor Mittal and if you look at the workforce of MNCs you will find lot of Indians at top position who had worked previously in some Indian company and who left their job due to lucrative offers from MNCs.So I believe that if our companies can get read of corruption and provide a better working environment and a better salary we might well be a hub for hundreds of globally known multinational companies.
Advertisements in form of newspaper or even by public announcement has been in India since ages. With the advent of new technology and globalization with improvised media the means or the modes of advertisement has been changed. The basic fact of making an advertisement is to make a public approval of a thing (generating public awareness) of the product or any object and forming the link between the company and the consumer. Beginning from the tea in morning till the mattress on which we sleep we have various advertisements. The boom of advertisements has tremendously increased in world why? The reason is simple since more and more people are getting acquainted with the media it becomes simple for the company to reach the masses within very few days. Also this makes the people aware of the product and indirectly helps the company to increase its sales. Since mass public in India still follow the trends of superstars (sometimes even blindly) using well renowned personalities (superstars and cricketers) it further improvises the profits (sales) of the company (ex: using of luxury bathing soap LUX various actress right from madhubala to katrina kaif of today are used for advertisement). Also the fact that if he/she (superstar) is using a particular product then it depicts the quality policy of the product and also its effectiveness. Though sometimes the company makes false acquisitions (of making smarter look by using this cosmetic or generating fairer skin by using so and so product or reducing your obesity within few days without any exercise) leads to the misguidance of the the uneducated people. But then there are certain advertisements like (TB awareness done by vivek oberoi or the advertisement done by amitabh bacchan for polio) certainly helps the public health issues to come forward and thus helping the poor and needy individuals of society. In my view though the advertisement help the masses or it is not the waste of resources to improve its resourcefulness the government (broadcasting unit) should see to it that it doesn't pollute the social harmony of society as well as it should not affect the youth by any of the means (ex: the ads of certain company shows all the girls in those skimpy dresses clinging to individual just for the sake that he uses the product). Yes of course it is marketing strategy of the company but then the company must also ensure that the advertisement does really market the product or it is weakening the social health of society. Finally to conclude I would say that any advertisement done with a view of reaching the masses for promotion of goods with a social aspect in mind would surely make it more resourceful.
Friends. I think privatization will lead to less corruption. Because the word government is somewhat a vague term in public sector compared to an chairman or CEO of an private sector and when the identity of the individual who is solely responsible for a private organization is clearly available and it is known that a limited number of objectives are assigned to
the private organization a sense of commitment, dedication, honesty and sincerity can be developed in the working people because there can be no association of present government, who is responsible for inflation or poor roads or increased tax, with their works. Most people who are appointed in government offices works for that government with whom they are not at all satisfied and which consciously or unconsciously led to poor performance and dishonesty leading to corruption, so I think privatization will change the mindset of people and motivate them to work honestly leading to less corruption.
In my opinion, India must keep its friendly relationship with Pakistan. Pakistan was also a part of India before 1947. Many people residing in India have been in Pakistan before. Terrorism is the worse part of Pakistan not the whole country. So there is no question of breaking relationship with them. Breaking of relationship cause many economical and life hazards to both the country. India is a developing country so government should focus on its development rather than on war. Breaking a relationship with neighboring country is also not favorable when most of the neighboring country are not in support of us. So beside focusing on this matter India should concentrate on educational, economical and technological development.
In my opinion there are lot of benefits if we maintain a close relationship with Pakistan rather than treating as a enmity. At present both the nations have equal in strengths. So, there will be a equal loss between the two nations even for a single wrong decision taken by the government. Take as example, one month ago I think in the month of April our country tested a missile named as 'agni5' which has a range of 5000km by this we can destroy any thing over a wide range of 5000km just after this one weak later Pakistan also tested a missile in the range of 1500-2000km only, here there is a little difference between the two countries by using missionary and technology. If any war happens both the countries loss many of living organisms and destroy there economy. At present situation china wishing to became a super power in the south Asian countries for that reason china trying to suppress India in many ways. At this time if we don't maintain the good relationship to Pakistan then there may be a chance that Pakistan and china became once and try to suppress India. So, we have to maintain a good relation ship to Pakistan. These are all the bomb blast and other new senescence are done by the Pakistan terrorist not by the other people of Pakistan and Pakistan government. For example, breaking the relation ship between the Iraq and USA, the Iraq stop the oil supply to USA and also both the countries economy also damaged. So in my view day by day the relationship between Pakistan and India was increasing and I hope this will be maintain for long period. So I think this is the not the time to break the potential ties to Pakistan. THANK YOU.
So its clear that technology do creates income disparity which might make us think that we don't need any technology, but absence of it is also gives the same result. Its like a Quadratic equation with two roots but the same answer. Thank you. Having access to technology can help people to gain better access to information and improve upon their daily activities. There is a 'Digital Divide' that exists n India due to unaffordability of the huge rural population for technology. Better access to technology can help farmers learn about market prices and better practices in accordance with the data from meteorological organizations. Also farmers can know about which crops to produce regarding current climatic data and predictions regarding weather changes and monsoon cycles. This can improve their livelihood, demand better prices from middlemen and raise their incomes. Also with technological exposure people can receive technical education which helps them get jobs and acquire skills and improve their livelihood. But this must backed by better education facilities and conduct education drives as it happened in Kerala and helped it reach a 100% literacy rate. Technology is not the only cause for disparity, but in a multi pronged approach to reduce income disparity, better access to technology is an important factor.
Well friend, as we know very well that fiscal deficit of the country is going to be 5.6% in 2012 announced by kotak. It means government debt is incresing day by day, and this government debt is increasing day by day due to these corrupt politician who is doing such a big scam like satyam scam, 2g scam, . Etc. And we also know it very well that in infrastructure we need a lot of investment and Indian government has not such amount to invest in infrastructure so definitly private parties involvement is necessary. And those involvement should be ppp (public private partnership). It means government will provide them fascility and they will invest the money. Because for any developing country to be a developed country basic need is trade and without infrastructure trade is impossible. So private participation is required.
Its true that private participation should be very much encouraged in the country, the private firms bring with them a top of the edge understanding of the technology and highly skilled labour. These factors may or may not be present with the government but the main distinguishing factor is the run for survival. While government companies know that they are here for long term survival, at the same time private firms have to compete for the same and this is what brings in competition and better performance by the private firms. Thus I think private partnership should be encouraged as it results in better performance.
It has to be balanced between the both. Globalization started in 1991 in India brought swift and visible development for two decades but now we are experiencing the global fall out of it not only economically in terms slowdown and rising inflation but also socially by loosing cultural identity and values. Only nationalism on the other hand also makes you less efficient and bring less economic opportunity. Government controlled globalization with small steps and taking national interest at the core should be the policy going forward. It may bring slow growth but considering the economic disparity existing in our country, we can win the race slow and steady.
Hi Friends, Today our topic of discussion is globalization Vs. Nationalism. According to me both play a major role in their field. In field of science, Education, Knowledge and business globalization is required because with help of globalization we can express our views in front of other and we can explore ourselves. We feel like a one world is like one country. We help others and get help from others in necessity times. In same way nationalism is necessary in field of our culture. We should proud on our culture. We should not ashamed in front of others be Indian. Because India is the only country where more than 25 languages exist in a single country. Instead of lots of languages are there lots of different type of people are living here still we are Indians live like a single family and India is our Family.
Government should clean its own hands before pointing finger at the private sector for corruption.
In India corruption started mainly after 1990. Due to liberalization & globalization employees in private sector start earning more in comparison to their counterparts in public sector in spite of less capable, so what happen that bureaucrat start thinking that person with less in knowledge as well as less in age also becoming richer day by day, they fed up with the government salary and allowances structure so they start taking bribe. Private sector is main cause of corruption I can prove it with following mentioned argument. . Commission based recruitment policy in private sector so employee start making fool to general public to earn more specially insurance companies. . To earn more profit private companies make negotiation with politician and bureaucrat on sharing basis of profit so today's politician with lack of social responsibility and interaction they doesn't find anything wrong in this so they clear unambiguous projects.
As we all know, today corruption is the root cause of decreasing growth of any sector. It includes growth of only corrupted people. When we talk about corruption, nobody is devoid of it. It may be a government sector or private sector. There is no denying the fact that all government office are corrupt. Everyone wants his/her profit. In government office nobody has to do anything with the profit or loss of the company. They have fixed jobs so they don't have fear of losing job. So here, everyone wanted to make money. Everyone cares of his/her profit. I m not telling that private companies are pure. They are also corrupt. They have much money but they did not show to get rid of income tax. So in my view, Government should clean its own hands before pointing finger at the private sector for corruption. Government companies are more corrupted than private companies as we see from the example of 2G scam and CWG scam. THANK YOU!
onsidering SATYAM just happens to be a carbon copy of the Enron scandal, we have to but just wait patiently before all turns around again. Sure, Satyam had its bad position, but then again, its previously earned reputation isn't so small that it be forgotten. Satyam happens to be one of the major stake-holding companies in the market, and in due course it will show its bounce back. And also now that Mahindra and Mahindra have taken over, and its entire Top management Reshuffled, its only a matter of time that investors begin to believe in the company again. and as per FDI, it will continue to flow in no matter, because, we can see through statistics that even when Enron had its moment, It did not impact the economy as much as that of the scandal itself.
Technology as we know has become a part of our life. We cannot just live on without it. But it is like a coin with same sides but both having a different result. One side is that, it does create income disparities among the working class. It only creates opportunities for those who are familiar with it. But this itself can sometimes be a danger, that is not all the firms stay at the top of business list for long. Some or the other day they will come down, which will force the employer to minimize the wages or remove some of the workers. Second, if there wasn't any technology then more number of people would have been at job which is a good point. But the production would not be up to the mark, which might cause workers getting less wages. So its clear that technology do creates income disparity which might make us think that we don't need any technology, but absence of it is also gives the same result. Its like a Quadratic equation with two roots but the same answer. Thank you.
As far as my point of view technology does creates income disparity as modern India because of our education standard is not comprehensive and large population of nation are deprived and unable to understand how to use and get knowledge about technology. Company or organizations give jobs those who are English proficient and technologically sound, that's why those who have these prerequisite got jobs and earn more, and those like rural ones are underprivileged because they are unskilled. So there is need of reform in education and participation of government to provide technological education to the entire nation especially ruler areas because technology is a source which is not only developed or increased individual income but also decide the growth of nation and no one country look as developed country until there is equality. So participation of everyone is required that change the way we think about negative side of technology.
Good morning everyone, According to me, Indian economy is still in the condition of OLD WINE IN NEW BOTTLE. To those who said differently, No disrespect I instead appreciate your point but the above is just my point of view. India is still operating at a slow pace, using the old methods, techniques, habits, policies, processes, etc. If compared with the time. We are in 2012 and still if you want a tatkal railway ticket, you would have to stay awake and stand in line for hours to get a conform ticket. Instead of guarding your position in the Que for the whole night, there could be ensuring electronic entry of data at every railway station. Not just the policies but also the people planning them and the people executing them are, well more of OLD WINE compared to the NEW BOTTLE of 2012. I am not saying that new population should be the in-charge but the contribution should increase from current levels. OLD WINE tastes of experience, NEW WINE has innovative and fresh taste. To avoid economical disasters and cause riotous growth both are necessary. The economy and the lives of people of a country should be developing and evolving continuously. The governing body should have experience and new way of thinking both, a combination of old wine and new wine to get the best of the two. India is evolving, but at a very slow pace w.r.t. The rocket-speed developments and changes around the world. It is time increasingly new methods are planned and corrected and implemented with old experience. It is time to make INDIAN ECONOMY the APPROPRIATE MIX of OLD AND NEW WINE in the NEW BOTTLE.
I agree with you all of my friend but in my point of view you can't blame only the politians or N. Are. I's because India is democratic country and we choose our government. And no government is free from corruption. My friend we all known the problem of our economy faces but we have to sugges some ideas to overcome the prblems of our faces. I think government have to take reasonable steps to make our economy strong no doubt India is a big country and its a developing country so we have opportunity and have platform to perform so why people go aboard for studies and work because somewhere our country fails to provide the higher education and platform to perform. Why the people of India work for another country because they get more salary and everyone wants to make money. So I think government have to take some steps to overcome the problems. Its not about old wine or new wine its about the wine should be pure. In our present economy we have many opportunities but we have to aware and grabe our chance. New economy like our technogy, infrastructure, urbanisation, globalisation taking place we have many opportunity so from my point of view its a new wine in old bottle.
Every negative thought has a positive result hidden within it. Also it is said that God takes away things from you and empty your hands to give something much better than you possessed. So even the bad have it time as it is said "Time heals everything". All you need to do is just keep going on with the same attitude and passion. Life may bring obstacle in your way but they are the stepping stone to success. Even the tallest building raises from the ground and so do the human beings. Every moment has its own beauty, its own charm;close your eyes, sit back and enjoy them. If there is something bad going on in your life you will surely have a good time ahead as bad times like bad people never last long. Relax, retry and rejuvenate.
The first reason for living in city is that it has more services than in a village such as hospitals, airport, commercial complexes, and big parks. These services attract people to live in city because they find anything they want. For example, in holiday people want to go out of their homes, so they can find a lot of places to visit, but in villages there are few services. The second reason is that it's near our work and people now want to live near their work to be able to return to their families everyday to become relaxed and to take care for their families. Also, when people live in villages and work in cities they face a lot of difficulties such as they should return every week to their village and that is very tiring because of long roads and car accidents. The last reason is that freedom because people in city are more open and they have more knowledge. For example, when you are in the city you can wear any kind of clothes but you can't do that in the village. In addition, when you are living in cities you can depend on yourself but in village you must fallow your family. In conclusion, I think living in cities is better than living in village. That's because many reasons but here I wrote about three reasons behind migration which are near our work, the amount of freedom gained and enormous facilitation of services.
My opinion is villages are playing major role in India. Before the we are independence, in India villages have lack of facilities but now villages are still in development compare with before independence. Villages are backbone or strength to the India why means. 1. Villages are having gorgeous role in India tourism. 2. In case of agriculture, agriculture plays a key role in our GDP. 3. In India some large scale sectors also established in villages. 4. Every one needs to live our life we take some energy it comes from many forms one of this is. Crop. This crop is growing by the former's in villages. Now a day's former's are going to the. Daily work instead of growing the crop because of them has lack of facilities like due to. Lack of power, finance problem, water problem. Finally my opinion is villages are backbone to the India and in India villages more number of families depends on the agriculture. So the government have a responsibility to provide the water, finance and power facilities.
Why can't India be a World-Class Player in Manufacturing Industry as it is in IT & BPO Sectors?
India has a huge amount of trained manpower and resources. So, the only problem of India being the leading country in manufacturing is its lack of infrastructure and the non-cooperation of the government. A BPO or an IT company merely needs a few computers, few small rooms and huge amount of manpower, not necessarily has to be trained. They could be trained in a month. Whereas manufacturing companies needs small but highly trained manpower, skilled labour, expensive machinaries, Huge infrastructure. So, this requires huge amount of investment. Lots of hurdles in the Indian government and public sectors discourage high amount of investment to flow in the country. Corruption, inefficiency in every sectors of the government, elongated process time of applications etc. Are the key issues for disinvestment in the country. Indian political leaders and policy makers are also reluctant about manufacturing industries because they may be providing better economic development to the state but the IT companies provide more mediocre, stereotype jobs which is very much necessary to increase the vote-bank. IT companies don't want brains and innovative ideas, they only want a few 'overqualified clerks' to work for them at a 'cheap' rate. So, they outsource their work to developing countries and exploit the young Indian brains leaving them in a 'still developing' country. The only way to enhance Indian Economic and Technological scenario is to stress hardly on manufacturing industries as they can provide the necessary growth for the country.
I would like to quote here an example of UK based entrepreneur Mr. J. C. Bamford (founder of JCB: one of the world's top earth moving equipment company). He started his work in a small rented garage purchasing second hand welding set costing him 1GBP. He made first farm trailer from worn out war materials and worked with his small team of six people for a long time making those trailers and later bringing in more variety. Today JCB is the biggest player in India in earth moving equipments and third across the globe. But unfortunately this business has never taken a giant stride in our country that it could have. I don't remember any Indian "standalone" player who has made its presence felt in and around the Asian continent. Prominent Indian automobile companies like Tata, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Eicher etc. Have cutting edge technology in engine designing and fair enough assembly plants. I don't think for such companies to diversify in this segment is hell a big task. The foreign players are now the early birds in meeting India's demand in earth moving equipments. The point is why such companies not become the early adapters and why are they waiting to extend their excellence in such a prospective and lucrative business. The government has always been so reluctant to bring in foreign players in Indian market (a protectionist approach). Despite that we've not been successful enough to grab that early advantaged and probably losing out on huge untapped potential market.
Foreign aid is a dangerous drug that can stimulate in small doses but become fatally addictive in larger doses.
I believe that what is required is a right mix of foreign investment and nationalistic development which equally contributes to economic growth. We have seen that excessive dependence on FII investments has led to disproportionate changes in the stock market and unplugging of FII funds has led to dramatic decline in stocks and even the monetary value of the rupee. FDI,which has a more long term nature is vital for reducing the burden of development of basic infrastructure and making the Indian market a competitive and positive growth oriented one. Other sources of foreign aid include charitable donations from developed countries like u.k. and u.s.a.. But there have been incidents which show that these acts of 'charity', came with strings attached. U.K.'s charity aid was aimed at trying to influence India to buy their military fighter jets, but when India opted for the Rafael jets from France which were more technologically advanced, U.K. made a huge hue and cry about it. SO excessive dependence on these kinds of aid are dangerous to India. Excessive dependents on outside market is always harmful as it exposes India to the unstable international market. SO dependence on foreign aid in small doses can stimulate India, but larger amounts can make us fatally addictive.
Basically these so called developed countries are notorious they want to control the other nations in some or the other way and the developing countries are always fund hungry so the FDI is just another way or another name for colonization. Take example of Pakistan the US has established full fledged military bases on its lands and run a parallel system like intelligence and influence the government running there. The only thing that is changed is that the US don't charge lagan from Pakistan they pay the lagan to Pakistan to enslave it. The situation is quite evident from the fact that Pakistan keeps quiet even when US carries out a full fledge military operation on its lands without its permission isn't it a kind of slavery?
Hello friends, Disinvestment is good if we talk about India because of following reasons-. 1) Government will generate funds spontaneously if needed. 2) It will help poor in long run because government do disinvestment only in the hope of generating good returns which will be used for the improvement of the country in upcoming budgets. 3) As private owners will run the business it will be helpful for the infrastructure also as India's infrastructure is very much depends on private companies. 4) New technology will be used which will reduce the wastage of resources, presently which is not there in government comp.
In todays era of globalisation and competition, if public sectors have to survive they have to evolve. And to evolve and be competitive enough with the private sectors and global players we need to be at par with them on many aspects viz marketing technology, cost effeciency, strategic colaborations etc. In absence of this the public sectors are bound to become obsolete, loss making and then sick. Disinvestment allows private player havin the knowledge of the sector comes in the board and help the company take actions which will make it feasable project which was other wise loss making. And might suggest for technological innovation. And might infuse new good managers who can motivate the work force to work effectively and efficiently. And therby contributing toward the growth of the company.
According to RBI (RESERVE BANK OF INDIA) guide lines use of force to recover loan is not legal. All the banks will survive on people trust, so if the trust is ruins then how banks can do their business and that will create black mark on banks and people trust, after all banks depends on trust, Before the disbursement of loan to any person doing KYC (Know Your Customers) is mandatory by RBI. Secondly proper verification should be there, the person who has applied for the loan, banks officials should check eligibility criteria and potential and meet the person directly for certain clarification. Banks also do need to send a intimation to the concern person before the premium.
We Need Drinking Water and Not Coke & Pepsi in Rural India
Being born and brought up in a city, I often see people around, quenching their thirst with soft drinks neg letting the ultimate source of life, i.e. , WATER. The brand names COKE and PEPSI have become so pandemic these days, that we usually forget that our prime requirement is WATER and not soft drinks which are no less than a venom. Considering the village aspect, More than 60percent of the villages lack the basic amenities like sanitation, proper education, health facilities, provision of safe drinking water and probably what not. In such a scenario what we need is pure drinking water and not the presence of MNC giants like coke and pepsi. I still remember my grandmother saying to me, what a healthy life they used to lead in a village. Everything they consumed was pure and unadulterated. But the things have changed now (at least in the cities). Nothing pure is available and the consequence is deteriorating heath of people all over the nation. But I am sure that even today there will be some villages in some remote corner in the nation free from adulteration and my only request is let us not affect the healthy lives of people living in those villages because ultimately these people will help us to increase the figures of life expectancy and reduce the figures of infant mortality rate. (as the health of city people is adversely affecting these figures). Let these villages be free from the dominance of coke and pepsi which has left the health of the city people ruined.
Yes!I completely agree that pure drinking water should be given more importance than cokes an pepsi in rural areas. As water plays an vital role in environment as well as in human body, the total amount of water in a human body of average weight (70 kilograms) is approximately 40 litres, averaging 57 percent of his total body weight and about 70% of the earth surface is covered by water. So we should definitely prefer more production of pure drinking water in rural areas than of coke and pepsi. As we all know what wonders can water alone do as compared to the soft drinks, a simple example, for quenching our thirsty throat we all prefer water over soft drinks. So I here by conclude by saying that pure drinking water should be given higher preference and should be available in rural markets in more quantity than the soft drinks.
I am satisfied with this that Poverty in third world countries is due to Prosperity in First World Countries It has so many Examples and reasons also. In the case of India and Pakistan we can see that, those resources that should be spent for removal poverty were spent for Atomic weapons. One another example of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, we can see they are facing poverty as a gift from America. On other hand If we talk about reasons we can see talents of 3rd world also moves to 1st word by that best resources of these countries can not be used in these countries. It is also reality that developed countries also provide funds to developing countries for poverty removal but this too less. But at last I am optimistic that third world countries will fight against poverty and develop their ideas with this reality that developed countries don't want their development and for this they should enhance their education, decrease their defense budget and have prosperous relations with their neighbors. So it depends totally upon the third world countries.
- Its tragic as the breakup of this relationship was abrupt. - The contract was of around 12 years amounting to a lot of money. - Sahara claims to have accused BCCI of not appreciating or considering the formers emotions. - It is believed that one of the reasons was because of a player who couldnt play in the IPL and Sahara expected BCCI to add the players amount in the contract. - Sahara claims that BCCI had disqualified them from the 2008 IPL without giving any tangible reasons. - Several players were supposedly retained by IPL. These were the best players that Sahara said shouldnt have happened. In a way its fair as every sponsor should have the rights to bid for any player. Against: - Its business end of the day. No contractual relationship can break because of one issue. - The reason because of which the player who couldnt play was extremely sensitive and unavoidable. Sahara perhaps could have negotiated on a replacement. - It is believed that Sahara assumed on a certain number of matches in IPL. BCCI refused on a refund. This seems to be an extremely prominent issue that could have been forecasted. The chairman of Sahara doesnt seem to be rigid on talking about the issue. It is true that petty reasons cant break contracts amounting to a lot of money, what went wrong was perhaps some unavoidable circumstances in which neither of the parties were ready to negotiate. It is said that Sahara has decided to pour some money a welfare foundation. It aims to develop 20 rural/semi urban sports development centers.
i think living relationship should be encouraged.becoz if u trust ur luv and have got proper understanding with ur beloved ones den wat is d need of marriage.in foreign countries mostly living relationship r successful ones becoz der luv is true. if u have no faith on ur luved ones den u will talk abt getting marrying so dat ur wife shouldnot leave u anyday. but in some cases living relationship have been unsuccessful and has effected the family life putting burdens on childrens and affecting their infancy.. Hi Everyone ! I don't think that live in relationship should be encouraged. There are several reasons for this(i)If u love someone and trust him/her, then why do you afraid of giving it a name?Marriage is a sacred institution where society celebrates the union of two souls, but live-inrelationship none of family members are involved and are uncertain about their children's future. (ii)Taking the example of western country does not prove that it is GOOD & should be practicised.Do everything the western people does is RIGHT,so we should follow them blindly ? (iii) India is always known for its moral values and ethics. When the western people are attracting towards India because the love & warmth they found in Indian families(note family can be created only when a person get married),is it resonable to follow live-in-realtionship ,just to show you modern and trendy? (iv) Some say that it helps in the growth of an Individual-what it means that marriage does not let grow ? The FACT is that there are plenty of examples where people in the
marriage are quite sucessful,in the current context we can see-Chetan Bhagat,Vishwnathan Anand,Sachin Tendulkar...etc.The truth is that growth does not depend on the type of realtionship -BUT on how you handles the difficulties. (v)Moreover ,live-in-relationship are totaly insecure, they give joy of four days and lifelong stigma of "uncivilised behaviour"..we are humans not animals so should show a civilised behaviour. (vi)There are no. of cases from small and metro cities where the boy fled after learning the girl's pregnancy, leaving her alone in the hand of soceity. Some killed the girl for not aborting the baby...so you can imagine what is consequences and future of live-in-relationship.
- From the past many years, the value of gold has only increased. - In case of need, we can sell gold anywhere, anytime. The value that we get is always the value of the metal on that day. - There are many schemes available for Gold that makes it an ideal investment. We can buy gold installments, take loans against it etc. - It is the simplest form of investment. You dont need any paper work, duties etc. You can buy and sell gold in a jiffy. - Even if you dont get the same price while selling as that of buying, you can easily use gold elsewhere. Bursting bubble: - Remember, gold cannot be considered as an asset in the true sense as it doesnt necessarily create value and income over time. - The gold bubble has been building up for a long time now. The prices have been increasing and investors are sensing that it will burst someday. - Considering the instability of the economy worldwide, this bubble can burst anytime. - The gold prices are more investor driven as compared to any specific economy attribute. We all invest with the hopes of gaining profit when we intend to sell the bought asset. Even though Gold could be considered as a valuable asset, many of us have this notion that we have to invest a lot to get a small measure of gold. Whether an investment is best or not totally depends on our resources. If we have ample of money, substantial amount of investment in gold could be considered practical.
If you give a man a fish, he eats it once. You teach a man to fish, you lose a business opportunity
If you give a man a fish, he eats it once. You teach a man to fish, you lose a business opportunity means that in an attempt to help others, and at times we land up giving ideas and solutions for people to grow. This way, an opportunity which could have worked for us, will be grabbed by the other person. For: - It is the survival of the fittest. If we land up helping people, we land up giving them a way to interfere in your success. - When you help and teach someone, that person in turn goes and teaches the same thing to somebody else. This way you keep losing business opportunities. - If you always land up helping others, people tend to take you for granted. - Consider an example of someone who sells a commodity. If you land up teaching him the tactics that worked for you to attract customer, he will attract all your customers. Against: - It is not bad to help others. When a person is in need, you must help them. - Most of the times, in an attempt to help others, you also land up striking a business opportunity with him. - If you dont help others with the fear that you will lose business opportunities, it will only make you more insecure. - You should make yourself capable and confident enough that even when you help people, nothing should act as a road block. - If not through you, somebody else may help. This way you not only put strains in your relations but also lose an opportunity to perhaps work with that person. Because of the kind of environment we live in, its like a rat race. Everybody wants to push people behind and move ahead. We shouldnt be discouraged to help others. But, we shouldnt let our trade secrets out. Try not teaching everybody everything that you know.
