ABSTRACT
Incompatibility of means to end has been a major cause of Pakistans problems. Starting with 32 million people in 1947, the figures have recently touched the 180 million mark. With this growth rate, Pakistans population will reach 380 million by middle of this century. In the back drop of a budget deficit (1,185 billion rupees), serious ethnic differences and weak political institutions, this is a very unhealthy sign for the stability and internal security of the country. Such an abrupt population explosion has overtaken the existing infrastructure and the resource generation capacity, thus leading to economic crisis, social injustices and increased unemployment. Despite being fully aware of the problem, Government of Pakistan has failed to check the rapidly increasing growth rate. Reasons for this population explosion are many, pronounced among them according to us are poor literacy rate, socio religious factors, Governments ineffectiveness in organizing the family planning programs and increasing difference between the death rate and birth rate. PROBLEM STATEMENT Population explosion is creating threat to Pakistan internal national security. While Poverty, increasing illiteracy rate, social injustices, low purchasing power and economic instability are the problems raised from this population explosion and these are also the fundamental variables of internal security threats to Pakistan. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY To deeply analyze the problem of population explosion and major factors responsible for that we will use the secondary research and analyze different research journal on overpopulation in Pakistan. We also use quantitative technique to test our hypothesis and qualitative technique for in-depth interview from family planning representatives. Similarly we will conduct explanatory research and use correlational technique to analyze the relationship between internal security and rapid population growth. DATA ANALYSIS TECHNIQUE We will use SSPS for data analysis, which will help to develop relationship between different variables like overpopulation and economic instability, poverty, unemployment and social injustice etc.

INTRODUCTION
CONTEXT OF THE PROBLEM One of the major concerns for many developing nations is the overpopulation that is occurring within their societies. The world is today booming with human beings. The number will continue to increase and is expected to reach the landmark figure of 9 billion by the mid of this century. With the present growth rate OF 1.14%, we shall soon see a world overcrowded with under nourished, uneducated, unhealthy, homeless and unemployed people. Due to seriousness of the situation, most of the countries are trying to prevent the population from growing at the present rate. Due to a population of around 180 million people approximately, Pakistan Government is also taking measures to control the population growth, but due to variety of reasons it has failed so far. With a growth rate of 3.1 percent the population is increasing with a fast pace. The implications of such a large underprivileged population on the internal security of the country can be serious. Economic problems, ethnic violence, political instability and above all a knocking enemy on the door steps are threat to the internal security. Added to these, a huge unruly population with no aim will seriously affect the internal security aspect. RESEARCH QUESTION Weather population growth is a treat for the socio economic development and better future of a country or its really threat to its internal national security? SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY Every research is expected to contribute in enhancing the present body of human knowledge. The contribution of the present research is mainly its attempt to analyze various factors responsible for rapid population growth in Pakistan and to trace their relationship with the vital aspect of internal security of Pakistan. The research may be helpful to the social policy makers to incorporate all or some of its recommendations in future planning.

LITERATURE REVIEW

OBJECTIVES OF THE RESEARCH

Our main objective is to conduct study which investigates/outline the causes of the rapid population growth in Pakistan since 1947 and analyze the relationship between internal security and rapid population growth. Its also propose viable and pragmatic strategy to influence the process of rapid population growth in a way which could be beneficial to foster the overall economic growth and strengthen the internal security of Pakistan. HYPOTHESES The theme of our research implies the assumptions that firstly rapid population explosion is a problem and the phenomenon needs to be examined thoroughly, and secondly it is threat to the internal national security of Pakistan. To examine the process of rapid population growth and its relation to internal national security, the following hypotheses is formulated at the initial stage of the research: Population explosion a threat to internal national security of Pakistan

METHODOLOGY AND DATA

We will use the secondary data and analyze different research journal. We will also do literature review to investigate the cause of overpopulation and its implications on Pakistan internal security. We also analyze articles published in different news papers regarding similar context. For Primary data we will conduct online/offline survey employing different social media channels like Facebook and LinkedIn. We will also conduct interviews with the people affiliated with the industry. We will also conduct Interviews ask the opinion of the people affiliated with the family planning program in Punjab. QUESTIONNAIRE DESIGN We will contact the respondents by mail and on door step. We will also employ social media channels like Facebook for the purpose of this survey. SAMPLING SIZE AND METHOD In non probability sampling we will employ convenient sampling for the purpose of online survey. And for survey in fast or in other areas of Lahore like different malls etc we will employ probability (random sampling). We get at least 20-30 people from different areas of Lahore to fill the survey either online or offline.

COST REQUIRED As we are going to do in-depth interview so its required full time to be given from both side i.e. interviewer and interviewee which is at least of 15 to 20 minutes. Then its required flue cost to reach at interviewee place. Therefore its also required printing cost to print questionnaires and precious time of respondent to fill that questionnaire

CONCLUSION
Our massive population is one of the reasons of huge deficit if this also keeps on increasing like the budget deficit; it will just be a matter of time that it may create great threat to our economy and internal security. Population is strength of a country. It does not take much to convert this strength into weakness. Therefore our research will try focuses on the analysis encompassing the causes of population growth in Pakistan followed by remedial measures necessary to stabilize the growth rate. From this research study we may come up with possible solution to control rapidly growing population.
