TAKRAF Mobile Crushing Systems TMCS

is a series of newly developed mobile crushing plants as a modular system for a capacity range from 3,000 to 12,000 t/h. This versatile system serves as a flexible link between mining shovel and face conveyor. The TMCS can be equipped with either a double roll crusher or with a sizer. For maintenance purposes there is space provided ahead of the crushing unit itself, to roll it out and away from the apron feeder and the crusher feeding chute into a well accessible maintenance position .

Combination options: TMCS / cb TMCS / bw TMCS + cb TAKRAF Mobile Crushing System adapted for a separate mobileconveyor bridge TAKRAF Mobile Crushing System adapted for a belt wagon TAKRAF Mobile Crushing System adapted for a connected conveyorbridge.

Having eliminated the main slewing and slew gear function of the upper structure, the new TMCS concept allows the arrangement of the travel crawlers close to the head and tail extremities of the rigid superstructure. This is most important and advantageous for the support of the receiving hopper, which is located right above a pair of equalized crawlers. During loading of the receiving hopper and apron feeder by the rope shovel, the high impact loads are transferred directly into the ground via the two crawlers which form a two point support at this location of the plant.

TMCS / bw The opposite crawlers underneath the conveyor are designed as a slewable two-crawler undercarriage, which supports the equipment via a ball joint. In conjunction with the two crawlers underneath the receiving hopper this arrangement provides structurally a clearly defined and determined three-point support, i.e. the crawlers are able to adjust themselves to the prevailing ground conditions. Especially on uneven ground as is invariably encountered in hard rock mining, an even and equal load distribution is imperative in order to reduce vibrations and fatigue of the entire plant. This concept has also been maintained within the crawlers using a system of bogies and equalizers such that all the track support rollers are equally loaded.

TMCS / cb The provision of a ball joint atop the front two-crawler undercarriage (beneath the crushing unit) allows rotation around the vertical axis for steering purposes. Each of the steering crawlers can operate in opposite direction or with different speeds. There is no requirement for a hydraulic steering cylinder because the crawlers are sufficiently spaced apart. Slew angles up to 90 degrees can be achieved which allows a minimum curve radius in the range of the distance between the two crawler pairs. Since all the crawlers have been arranged in longitudinal direction very narrow ramps can be negotiated between the individual benches, thus resulting in compact dimension dimensions. It also provides maximum safety distances between the crawlers and the crest or toe of the side slopes. There are no auxiliary hydraulic supports needed, hence the ability to instantly move the loaded TMCS (into a new position) turns out to be the principal operational modification of this generation of mobile plants. This safes operating time and improves the availability and utilization of the conveying / spreading system.

Advantages of a fixed intermediate crusher discharge conveyor:

the actual crushing machine can be arranged relatively low, which provides for better vibration control emanating from handling large ROM boulders within the crusher,

uneven material flow resulting from the crushing process is equalized resulting in a better controlled downstream material flow and reduced spillage sufficient height can be provided for the transfer between the crusher discharge conveyor and the receiving chute of the mobile bridge to the extent that the support crawlers of the mobile bridge can be positioned right underneath the transfer area. This provides excellent transfer conditions even if the TMCS operates at benches either above or below the face conveyor
