Official language is Urdu, but English is widely spoken & understood. Lahore is 5 hours ahead of GMT. No health certificates are required for entry to Lahore; but check any health restrictions before departure. All visitors require a visa. Lahore has a more conservative dress code than does Karachi; care must be taken not to give offence by wearing clothing considered revealing.
