Late Policy
All homework assignments and projects must be turned in at the beginning of class on the day the assignment is due. One 24-hour grace period will be allowed for the each project during the semester. Homework assignments turned in after the beginning of class will lose 20% of the total points possible for each day it is late. No credit will be given for an assignment turned in later than 2 days after the date it is due.

History
Early 1900s to early 1960s: WSD was mainly used. 1956 ACI code (ACI 318-56): USD was first introduced in Appendix. ACI 318-63: Treated WSD and USD on equal basis. ACI 318-71: Based entirely on strength approach (USD) WSD was small part called Alternate Design Method (ADM). ACI 318-77: ADM moved to Appendix A USD was called Strength Design Method (SDM). ACI 318-83: ADM moved to Appendix B ACI 318-89: ADM back to Appendix A ACI 318-95: ADM still in Appendix A but Unified Design Provision was introduced in Appendix B modifying SDM ACI 318-99 ADM still in Appendix A. ACI 318-02 ADM Deleted from code ACI 318-05 Minor revision ACI 318-08 Earthquake special provision revised
