Agenda
The following agenda is designed to be a guide for a training session covering Edmodo features, benefits and best practices for classroom integration. This agenda may be useful for planning lunch and learn presentations, staff meeting presentations, or breakout sessions during in-service or staff development events. Topics and suggested times may have to be modified to meet the technology skill levels and experience of participants. Total Recommended Training Time: 90 minutes
PART I: Overview (15 MINUTES) Provide account set up instructions and distribute school codes for initial login Emphasize the importance of always signing through your subdomain Orient participants to key teacher functionality Discuss student and parent accounts PART II: Edmodo Basics/ Demo (45 MINUTES) Provide a brief overview of core features Sign in and create profile/settings Create/ manage a group Review key safety and security features for student or parent signup Show how to award a badge Post a message with content attached Show how to embed video and share from library Focus on discussion thread after a post Review the content library Create and grade an assignment Create and grade a quiz Review the gradebook Review the calendar Discuss Mobile access Apps for Android and iOS devices Mobile web browser access PART III: Professional Development (20 MINUTES)

Subject area and content communities Request to join a community Connect with other teachers Sign in to Subdomain (if you havent already) Schedule event in Calendar for that days session and send to School/ District Community Post message in community with training group code Go to Training Group to show discussion stream and posted content Post any discussion questions, polls or assignments Discuss best practices PART V: Help and On-Going Support (10 MINUTES) Direct attendees to the Help Center and Support Community. Encourage users to attend an Edmodo webinar. Post follow-up questions and material in Training Group.
