Contract Value: US $ 36,500,000.-Project Duration: 12/1999 12/2002 Capacity: 55000 m3/day Organic Load in (BOD): 18150 by BOD/day. Solid Load in (TSS) : 22000 KG SS/day.

Project Description:
An industrial complex in Ataka zone, north of Gulf of Suez was developed during the last five years, many industries are carried out in this zone such as steel, plastics, textiles, cement and ceramic industries discharging big amount of wastewater to the desert and sewage networks present at this location. This enormous amount of wastewater can be reused if it is being efficiently treated, either in green areas or by other industries that intensively uses treated water such as recycled paper industry or the water may be discharged safely to the Gulf of Suez. The scope of work comprises all engineering requirement for an industrial wastewater treatment plant of Capacity 52000 m3/day which was designed by JAICA, including checking the process parameters, sizing of tanks and electromechanical equipment including pumps, air blowers, compressors, piping and fittings, rotating bridges and scrapers manufactured by CAIROMATIC, control and monitoring equipment and low tension voltage electrical panels. The treatment scheme comprises a chemical treatment followed by primary sedimentation then an activated sludge process; aeration via diffused air system then final settling and disinfection. An urgent industrial wastewater treatment plant 3000 m3/day is required to be constructed in only four months. We submit full technical data and detailed engineering documents and drawings which were satisfactory approved from the consultant of the project. The scope of work includes supply and installation eight pumping stations including vertical pumps, cast and ductile iron piping and fittings, diesel generator engines, PLC and monitoring systems.

Project Description:
Edfina is a well-known Egyptian company in the field of food processing industries. Edfina has several plants located all over delta and Alexandria regions in Egypt. One of its processing plants located in Ezbet El Borg in Damietta. This particular plant has a lot of problems, concerning the effluent wastewater quality from the plant itself, restriction on the area available for construction of industrial wastewater treatment plant, and the process itself of food processing units which requires in plant modifications. Technical Data: Cairomatic scope of work required a special design that meets the above-mentioned problems which introduce the concept of biofiltration by using one of Cairomatics industries range of production; The Biocomb. Our biomedia ensures compactness as it is characterized by high specific area, requires almost no power required, and a very high efficiency range. The treatment scheme is a simple activated sludge process followed by a biofiltration system to ensure the highest efficient treatment process to achieve the finest effluent quality to be used within the plant or to be discharged to river Nile. The projects services comprise all engineering works such as construction of civil works including; structural design of execution works of dewatering system, piles and piles cap works, reinforced concrete works for machine rooms, main collecting sump, tanks of stage I and II, external and internal insulation works, brick works, finishing and metal works. The works also include; execution of all related steel works such as mechanical screens, aeration and clarification systems, installation of electromechanical equipment such as pumps, pipes, air blowers, sludge dewatering unit, gravity oil separation units, etc.

INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT

COCA COLA CO. INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR BENI SUEF ( PHASE I )
Client: Misr Company for Soft Drink and Food Preservation (Coca Cola) Location: Beni Suef City Beni Suef Governorate, Egypt. Contract Value: US $ 525,000.-Project Duration: 11/1998 5/1999 Capacity: 45 m3/hr. Project Description: The scope of work comprises all engineering requirement such as designing and calculating the process parameters to achieve effluent quality as specified in the Egyptian law limits, submitting the full detailed engineering documents, supplying and installing of all mechanical equipment including all lifting, dosing, & dewatering pumping units, interconnecting piping, electric works including control panel & cables and PLC system including wastewater control systems and final discharge measurements. The effluent wastewater from the factory is separated into two streams. The first stream is treated by treatment plant ( phase I ). The capacity of this stream is estimated to be 45 m3/hr. The treatment is based on the pH adjustment to the value range 6-8 . The wastewater is transported from its sources inside the factory by different lifting pumps to a collecting tank with a suitable volume giving a calculated retention time required for the neutralization process occurring inside the tank. As the flows of wastewater fluctuates & the pH has very wide range, the control system is designed to absorb these fluctuation & variability using strong base & acid as reagents in the neutralization. The system is fully controlled by programmable logarithmic computerized system prepared with a compact software communicating & controlling all the necessary measures. Services included the design of the above mentioned installations including commissioning, starting-up the plant, training of clients staff at site & granting 12 months guarantee period for the supplied equipment starting from date of preliminary handling over of the plant.
