Experience:
Microsoft MEA Center of Expertise (CoEX): Social Media Evangelist (1 of October 2012 Present): Responsible for establishing and moderating the different social media channels for the Microsoft 4Afrika innovation pillar (Facebook & Twitter). I also act as a support function generating different reports to measure the business performance such as Team Reach, Store registrations from different countries, and competition monitoring. Ekshef: Co-Founder, CEO (October 2011 May 2011), Business Development Director (June 2011 August2012) I was mainly responsible for Ekshef business development and public relations where I was building and maintaining all the relations with external parties around the Ekshef ecosystem. I have worked on: Establishing Partnerships: I worked on building our partners network by establishing partnerships that can add value to our company and our customers. Companies I dealt with including Vodafone, Nokia, Medicare Insurance, 140Online, and Yellow Pages. Building Doctors Database: I was responsible for searching for fresh and new data sources to build and maintain our database of doctors. I collected, and organized doctors information to include them in our directory. I also worked with call centers to make sure they collect the data we are looking for & doing quality assurance over the data they send to us. Investors Relations: I was responsible for building & maintaining our investors relations. I was writing Ekshef business plans, do investors pitches, and I pitched our business to several angels including the Cairo Angels Group, & The first business angels conference in Bahrain. I also built connections with VCs from Egypt & outside. Press and Media: I wrote press releases and did interviews & presentations for the media to make more people know about Ekshef and what the company is doing. Ekshef was featured in the Economist, CNN Fortune, Microsoft Citizenship Blog, Wamda, ArabNet, Youm7, Al Borsa News, and The Next Web.

Microsoft Summer Intern (2010): Intern at Microsoft Egypt summer internship, I had a month of trainings on Microsoft products, Time Management, Marketing, and Sales. I was part of a team that developed an intranet for companies using Microsoft SharePoint 2010 deployed on Microsoft Windows Server 2008.

Activities:
Microsoft Imagine Cup: 2011: Winner of the 2011 local finals in Egypt and Competitor in the worldwide finals in the 2011 competition in New York City as project Tabeeb (Before it becomes Ekshef). (Final Presentation: Part1, Part2) Microsoft Student Partner (MSP): Representing Microsoft among student in my university. Citizenship Volunteer at Microsoft Egypt: focal point for NGO capacity building, and I was responsible for delivering sessions to NGOs and students about Marketing, Social Media and Internet Safety. Student Union 2011: Vice head Social committee. Public Speaking: Speaker at different events and conferences including: TEDxAUC, Egypt4Better, Innovate4Good, and step up start-up. Topics included are entrepreneurship, and networking skills.
