PGM A CTIV ATION EV ENT

4-Output Bus Module V1.0 (DGP-PGM4)

Instruction Manual
The Digiplex Programming Guide is required to program the PGM Activation and Deactivation Events

Section [003], [005], [007] and [009] A PGM Activation Event determines which event will activate a PGM output. The 4-Output Bus Modules PGM Activation Events are programmed in the same manner as those in the control panel. Each PGM can be programmed with a different activation event. Use the PGM Programming Table in the Digiplex Programming Guide to program the 4-Output Bus Modules PGM Activation Events. The following activation and deactivation events CANNOT be used with the 4-Output Bus Module: Intellizone and Access from Event Group Status 3 and all the events from the event group Status 4.

PGM D EACTIV ATION EV ENT

Section [004], [006], [008] and [010] Once a PGM output is activated and if its PGM Deactivation Option is set to follow the PGM Deactivation Event, the PGM will return to its normal state when the programmed event occurs. The 4-Output Bus Modules PGM Deactivation Events are programmed in exactly the same way as those in the control panel. Each PGM can be programmed with a different deactivation event. Use the PGM Programming Table in the Digiplex Programming Guide to program the 4-Output Bus Modules PGM Deactivation Events (see warning above).

PGM D EACTIV ATION OPTI ON

Section [002] Option [1], [3], [5] and [7] Each PGM can be programmed with a different PGM Deactivation Option. The control panel can deactivate an activated PGM one of two ways: Option OFF = Follow Event: 1) If the first digit of the PGM Activation Event is set at 1, 2 or 3, the PGM will remain activated until the Activation Event has ended. It will ignore the PGM Deactivation Event. 2) If the first digit of the PGM Activation Event is set at 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E or F, the PGM will remain activated until the PGM Deactivation Event occurs. Option ON = Follow Timer: The PGM will remain activated until its PGM Timer has elapsed, regardless of the PGM Deactivation Event.

INSTA LLATION
The 4-Output Bus Module is connected to the control panels communication bus. Connect the four terminals labeled red, black, green, and yellow of the module to the corresponding terminals on the control panel as shown in Figure 1. Refer to the Digiplex Installation & Reference Manual for the maximum allowable installation distance from the panel.

FOR

FIRE A LARM

Section [001] Option [2] When a PGM is programmed with this feature and a fire alarm occurs in the system, the 4-Output Bus Module will provide a pulsed fire alarm output for any PGM programmed with the Fire Alarm event as described in the Digiplex Reference & Installation Manual until the fire alarm is resolved. The PGM Deactivation Event(s) and the PGM Timer(s) for the PGM(s) programmed with this feature will be ignored. How Do I Program a PGM as a Pulsed Output? STEP 1: Enter Module Programming Mode STEP 2: Enter section [001] and enable option [2] STEP 3: Enter section [002] and program the PGM Deactivation Option corresponding to the desired PGM to Follow Event . Disable: Option [1] for PGM 1 Option [5] for PGM 3 Option [3] for PGM 2 Option [7] for PGM 4 Step 4: Enter the section corresponding to the desired PGMs Activation Event and program the Fire Alarm event. Enter: Section [003] for PGM 1 Section [007] for PGM 3 Section [005] for PGM 2 Section [009] for PGM 4

PGM T I MER
Section [011], [012], [013] and [014] Once a PGM output activates and its PGM Deactivation Option is set to follow the PGM Timer, the PGM will remain activated until the programmed value has elapsed. For each PGM enter a 3-digit decimal value between 001 and 255. Refer to the PGM Time Base Selection to determine whether the value will be in seconds or minutes.

Section [002] Option [2], [4], [6] and [8] Options [2], [4] , [6] and [8] in section [002] define the time value for the corresponding PGM Timers. Each PGM can be programmed with a different PGM Time Base. Option OFF = The PGM Timer is in seconds Option ON = The PGM Timer is in minutes
