Position requirements

Field Specialist
A two-year technical degree (with 3.0 GPA) or military equivalent experience

Equipment Operator*
High school or equivalent diploma

Mechanical and Electronic Technicians

Degree in an electronics / mechanical field (with 3.0 GPA), or military equivalent experience

*A commercial drivers license is not required, but a DOT license and military experience are a plus.

Electronic and Mechanical Technicians

A profession like no other
As a Schlumberger Maintenance Technician, you will be an indispensable team member focused on maintaining equipment and technology used in the worldwide search for energy. The Electronic Technician (ET) is responsible for the maintenance and repair of electric, electronic and computer-based equipment. Skill level requirements vary from board-level up to component-level repair. The Mechanical Technician (MT) is responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines, pumps and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Great troubleshooting skills are required to ensure our enormous and diverse vehicle fleet is rolling 24/7, year round.
AS PART OF YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK YOU WILL:

Troubleshoot failed electronic/mechanical equipment Follow preventive maintenance schedules and input data in tracking software Provide support to field personnel to help diagnose problems Follow Schlumberger safety, personal protective and equipment policies Proficiently learn and apply maintenance and safety programs Perform online and formal training objectives

Depending on your skills and interests, you may work primarily in the shop, in the field where the equipment is, or a combination of both. No matter the location, the work will be challenging with long hours.
