1. Primary Skill Set with the number of relevant experience ( Please see details of each later)
2. I have around 7 years of total industry experience in developing and providing collaboration and
application infrastructures to customers. With a total of 38 commercial projects worldwide
(ranging from 500 users to 80000 users), I was involved in complete project life cycle with
every customer i.e. Pre-Sale Feasibility, preparation of the working demonstration, Post project
Architecting the concept into a workable IT architecture etc. Government Sector, FMCGs, Oil &
Gas and banks are some of the major customer industries that I handled during the above role.
(Please do let me know if you would like to know more about the above projects, removed from
the CV due to size)
When I started on Infrastructure architectures, it was not a very well defined field (in terms of
architecture and Design) and it was very hard to find any standard guidelines around the same.
As a thumb rule, I always considered a customers requirement to be dynamically changing
between centralized, replicated, and hybrid collaboration architectures. Having high level
customer requirements, I had to structure and rationalize a workable design pattern that would
work across organizations and across technologies. I can safely say that around 38+ projects
(of customers with 50 users to 80000 users) above required me to work as Collaboration
Infrastructure architect in addition to my role as a Project manager.
The projects above were of variant and complex natures i.e. primarily in Telecommunication, Oil
and Gas, FMCG, Banking and government organizations. At this stage I would like to mention
the collaboration infrastructure for Government of Pakistan involving 250K users, a data center
with 47 messaging servers as a starting point all firewalled and protected running Solaris 9 and
AIX. I am project manager of 1 site (Ministry of Finance), looking after the onsite
implementation, of the 7 year project, named as Federal Govt. Data Center regulated by
Ministry of science and technology govt. of Pakistan.
Having worked for a business partner of all major Collaboration tools I primarily developed my
skills on Microsoft and IBM tools. Following is a brief list of technologies around which I
development architecture
⇒ Worked on following platforms : Solaris, AIX, Suse Linux 10, Redhat Linux 4, Windows
Server 2003
Making a good architecture design that would meet the customer’s IT needs was 1 element,
however interacting with customer at all levels to ensure robustness and execution of the design via
the engineers was also part of my role. I normally try to run the design through a number of
iteration with the customer in order to result in the best possible before entering the execution
phase. A number of times via corporate presentations to all levels of customer management
involved.
⇒ Part of the core server team for IBM’s collaboration products. This job has given me an
opportunity to expand my horizon and service to more complicated technical architectures
for IBM’s customers. Reproduction of customer problem in the highly sophisticated test labs
involved development of Virtual simulations of customer architectures to predict the possible
cause of the problem.
⇒ Handling executive management & Strategic customers, by participating in conference calls
and one to one meetings is also part of the job. One major parameter of my work quality
measurement is the satisfaction of Strategic customers. Customers ranging from 5000 users
onwards become very tricky when we are handling the core servers of the infrastructure
(against SLAs).
6. Implement and strategize the software development life cycle, for different Projects of Business
Process automation.
a. Microsoft windows Server 2003 Based System Security, with Symantec antivirus and Firewalls.

nupgrade 4, third party tools Transend Migrator (for messaging, contacts, meetings and todo’s),
Uni Access
c. Been using Scripting languages (LotusScript, JavaScript) and Formula Language. As used in
Lotus Notes.
d. Rational Rose and Visio (UML Tool for Class designing & Sequence Diagrams etc)
e. Microsoft Project 2000/2003: many Software projects Which were managed by me were
Organized on MS Project 2003
9. Corporate trainer for IBM’s collaboration technologies (3 Years): Based on IBM official course
Curriculum (720,721,722,847,848,849,840,841 and 800) at GBM and for various GBM Clients in UAE.
As per agreement with GBM I can’t disclose its clients.

Administration and Infrastructure development and management. Onsite Consultancy against SLA for 1
year.
Ministry of IT Government of Pakistan (EGD): Three batches of Government Officials were trained for
Lotus Notes & Domino R7 Administration and management and Web Sphere Application Server based
custom build application (Internal Communication).
Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir: Batch of 5 Administrators was trained on Domino
Administration as well as on Lotus notes client deployment and configurations.
Pakistan Tobacco Company (PTC – BAT) Trained the Administration team for Lotus Notes and Domino
R5.
Project management. I’ve been currently responsible for managing the Messaging and Collaboration
deployments related to Medium and large enterprises, ensuring CMMi and ISO 27000 compliant Project
Management life cycle.
• Business Process Automation and their effective utilization in the organizations. Materials
Management, Human Resources, Financial systems, Core Administration Procedures are some areas
that I have string grip.
• Setup a customer call center (Technical Helpdesk) from scratch. We developed an ITIL compliant
customer call center application. The call center soon became a source of revenue, as most of the
customers have signed the Technical Support contracts for Server side Administration issues. In turn
increased customer satisfaction and a good measure of the department performance from customer
perspective.
• As a professional Trainer for IBM’s Collaboration technologies. Just to name a few following
organizations were trained by myself, All ministries of Govt. of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, OGDCL,
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited, Askari Bank Ltd etc
• On the business end, Making and Costing Business Proposals and evaluation of RFP to be
undertaken or not. Our Business unit had its own Business development team responsible for
putting together all the documentation. My role is to validate and workout the costing, functionality
and scope of work.
2. ISO /CMMi Auditor: I worked for LMKR as an internal ISO Auditor and audited the company
internal Data Center and NOC for compliance of Processes and Procedures and also worked for
Process improvements, which later Got ISO 9001 certified one week after my audit. Worked as a
team member under an ISO Lead Auditor, in a team of Three ISO auditors.
3. All the Software designed and Developed by me was documented according to ISO9001
Standards as the Company was ISO Compliant and documentation was maintained for every part
of the software cycle.
