Protoss R.C.C.

The Protoss are an advanced species, possibly the most advanced in the galaxy (as far as they and most humans know). Protoss are usally about 3 meters tall, rough or smooth skin with shades ranging from deep or light blue to rough black to brown to even slightly red. They have thick strands of what you might call hair that is usally red or black in color. They have no mouths, they speak through

telepathy. They also have these glowing blue or yellow eyes. There build is rather unusual, normal sized around the upper torso, but around the hips it's extremely skinny, and the legs are bent back and sort of birdlike. Protoss are incredibly strong and agile, and very, very, clever and intelligent. But there most amazing trait is an intense psionic potential inside all of them. Certain Protoss are able to channel their energy and unleash devastating psionic attacks. Many years ago a race known as the Xel'Naga appeared over the Protoss homeplanet of Aiur. They saw great potential in the Tribes of Protoss and secretly helped them to make great jumps in technology. After few centuries, the Xel'Naga finally made themselves known to the Protoss, and they were worshipped as gods. Unfortunetly, by this time, many Protoss got more self centered and started breaking away from their tribal links so they could have more individuality as opposed to being dedicated to the tribe. This made the Xel'Naga realize that they had failed in their creation, since they wanted a pure hearted race. The Xel'Naga then decided to depart. However, the Protoss, suspicious of the Xel'Nagas sudden leave, were angered and attacked the super intelligent beings. The Xel'Naga escaped with heavy casualties. But the Protoss society and suddenly found itself breaking among old tribal lines. This period in Protoss history was known as Aeon of Strife. War erupted across all of Aiur for 1000 years. The Aeon of Strife was finally ended by a Scholar known only as Khas, who had stumbled upon old Xel'Naga records. Using special energy crystals known as Khaydarin Crystals, he accessed the Primordial psychic bond that all Protoss shared, but forgot how to use for many centuries. Khas created a theoey called the "Khala", which called for All Protoss to give up their own petty problems and strive to reunify their once great race. This ended the Aeon of Strife and helped rebuilt Aiur. The Khala called for the Tribal system to turn into a caste system. The largest was the Khalai, who was made up of industrialists, scientists, and workers. They were the builders and researchers of Protoss society. The Second Caste was the Judicator, which was made up of Eldar Protoss and Statesman. The Judicator were responsible for governing the Protoss under Khalas law. The Judicator Assembly was ruled over by a small group of Protoss Eldars, known as the Conclave, who were the leaders of the Judicator, and thus, head of all the Protoss. The Third and Final Caste was known as the Templar. The Templar were the Holy Warriors and Defenders of Aiur and was made up of Warriors, who followed the Khala's disciplines to achieve ever-escalating heights of Psionic power. The Templar who mastered their psionic powers were known as the High Templar. Most warriors of the Templar were known as Zealots. They had yet to reach the upper ranks of the Templar, but were masters of Hand to Hand combat and powerful warriors.

THE PROTOSS RCC Alignment: Any, though most Protoss are Principled, Scrupulous, Unprincipled, or at the worst Aberrant. Gender: 1-75: Male 76-00: Female Attributes: IQ: 3D6+3 ME: 4D6+1 (you would have to have high ME to have strong psionic skill.) MA: 2D6+3 (Protoss aren't the most charming people in the galaxy) PS: 3D6+3 PP: 4D6+2 (They wouldn't be good fighters if they didn't have good agility) PE: 4D6+1 (You would have that much too if you had a body like a Protoss!) PB: 2D4+2 (Protoss might be good fighters, but they lack SEVERELY in the looks department) Spd: 3D6 HP: PE+1D6, and another 1D6 per level of EXP. PPE: 3D6+5 for all Protoss, since they all train and expend energy for their path on the Khala at an early age. For young Protoss who never concentrated on their path in life, PPE is 1D6X10.

ISP: ME+5D6+20. (And thats without OCC bonuses, such as if the Protoss was a High Templar) SKILLS vary with their specific Caste and specialty (OCC),whether it be a scientist, craftsman, High Templar, or Zealot, or whatever. AGE: Protoss live up to 1000 years and longer. Most don't even get close to that though, they usually die in battle. EXP: Protoss EXP tables vary with specific OCCs. EQUIPMENT: Varies with OCC as well. GENERAL PSIONIC AND SPECIAL ABILITIES: Although some Protoss (such as the High Templar) are more developed in the Psionic category then other Protoss, all Protoss possess the following powers. 1: SENSE OTHER PROTOSS: Due to the primal link that all Protoss have, a Protoss can detect the presence of all other Protoss within 50 miles+25 miles per level of EXP. 2: CHANNEL PSIONIC SHIELD: During the Aeon of Strife, Protoss warriors channeled their psionic energy into a protective shield which was very resistant to attacks. While now most Protoss rely on a Psionic Plasma Shield Generator to amplify their powers, Protoss without the amplifier can still create a very potent shield. It takes 1/2 damage from psionic attacks, and can take up to 500 SDC (5 MDC) and regenerates at 100 SDC (1 MDC) per melee. It costs 10 ISP to generate the shield. 3: RESISTANCE/PARTIAL IMMUNITY TO PSIONIC ATTACKS: Due to the Protoss' advanced leaps in Psionics, all Protoss are +6 to save vs. all Psionic attacks they choose, except for ones that inflict damage, such as Psi Sword, and even then it will do only at 1/2 damage as well. Protoss are TOTALLY immune to Hypnosis and Mind Control, and Erase Memory and Insert Memories as well. However, a Protoss can choose what he wants to be Resistant/Immune to and can be affected by Psionics if he chooses. Also, Other Protoss, having the same development of Psionic potential as all other Protoss, can affect other Protoss with Psionics with FULL EFFECT. 4: OTHER PSIONIC ABILITIES include Mind Block, Detect Psionics, Presence Sense, Telepathy, Minor Telekinesis, Summon Inner Strength, and a 50% chance of having 6th Sense and See Aura.
