We are preparing the design to enable the Ferry Terminals expansion

BERTH #9c

Built in 2005-2012 Provides a qualitative service for passengers and vehicles traveling on ferries as well as the passengers access directly to the city via a new overpass. There is also built a new road from Terminal to the New Gate #4 to improve the traffic flow and road safety.

Built to enable the anchorage of vessels with depth till -11.5m and carrying capability up to 6ton/m2

They provide independent access of heavy vehicles which operate on this Terminal

In June 2013 this Terminal is given in concession to private operator. The main investment in this Terminal was the new quay #10 which enable the anchorage of vessels with depth till to -11,5m. The qyays carrying ability is 6ton/m2 and for yard area is 10 ton/m2. We have already design the project of new eastern breakwater that makes possible new areas in this Terminal. In order to provide independent access of heavy vehicles in Terminal we have built Gates #5 and we are building a new road from this gate to berths #10&11.

EAST TERMINAL

Removed from the Port of Durres since 2010.
Now liquid fuels and gas are being processed in Greenfield petroleum port at Porto Romano, far away form residential areas.

A new Fishery Port is being constructed beyond the western breakwater.

OLD FISHERY PORT

After the completion of works, the area of the old Fishery Port inside the Durres Port will pass to Durres Port Authority in order to allow the expansion of Ferry Terminal.

We are making the design in order to enable the processing of cement and clinker

BERTH #9d

CEMENT & CLINKER TERMINAL


Port Authority has already received this area from the former private owner KURUM
Durres Port Authority is making the design in order to enable the processing of cement and clinker in this new Terminal. A tender procedure is already launched in order to select the private operator who will take this Terminal in concession.

Due to construction works in Berth #10 this extension is postpone to next phase

TERMINAL EXTENSION

This Terminal is already given in concession to private operator.

CONTAINER TERMINAL

Due to construction works in Berth #10 and the delay in time with rehabilitation works in Berths #7&8, this extension is postpone to next phase.

After the demolition of old warehouses, we have already rehabilitated this areas

REHABILITATED AREAS

We have already designed the project and we are waiting for funds

BERTHS #1&2

All the yard area is built with concrete pavements to provide better operations in Terminal.

GENERAL TERMINAL

We have already designed the project for the construction of new quays #1&2 continuing the line of quay #4.

REHABILITATED WAREHOUSES AND PARKING AREAS

Up to now, all areas and office buildings have been reconstructed by Port Authority. Gate #1 & #2 are already built, significantly improving the control and quality service, as well as the image of Port Authority . Durres Port Authority has invested in rehabilitation of all of its offices and warehouses. There are also reconstructed the parking areas and the second roads.
