Keywords for starter activity to be introduced on the whiteboard Students to be introduced to the following words related to presentations: http://www.teachict.com/ks3/year7/presentations/starters/barthan gman7.htm l Using teach-ict.com Hangman using Bart Simpson to be played with the class students to be split into 4 groups the words that were introduced before the starter activity to be displayed next to the hangman game this will enable students to give fairly quick answers and familiarise themselves with words associated with presentations

Pats Poor presentation This presentation will be shown to the class, in pairs, students to discuss some of the poor points in Pats presentation and feed them back to the class each pair to feed back at least one thing Students will be asked towards the end if they will make the same mistake as Pat. I.E.

Use different text on the same slide/any slide? Use fonts inconsistently Put minimal information on some pages and to much information on others Use writing that isnt legible

Students to be split up in As and Bs As half of the pairs will be looking at slides 1-4 Bs half of the pairs will be looking at slide 57 Students to work individually to complete slides 1-5 on their About Me slides students will be able to access a hints and tips document from the pupil shared area incase they are unsure of how to use some basic functions in power point Students to be introduced to some hints and tips of how to make their presentation interactive using power point this will be done on the interactive whiteboard and will be available in the pupil shared area Use this document NEED TO ADD HINTS AND TIPS DOC 5 minutes Graphics students to be presented with different graphical images (the 4 created in photo shop) students will be shown original photo and the effect that has been added students who are working at a steady pace can start this, otherwise students will be shown this activity in the next lesson Students to continue working on their power point slides students who have finished the first 5 slides can move on to complete the rest of

the slides students to try and demonstrate use of different tools in power point this can be done by using hints and tips document 5 minutes Peer evaluation students to evaluate their peers work next to them students can give each other hints and tips on information they may want to include Students who have completed at least the first 5 slides to present what they have done to the class max 2-3 students

Plenary & Reflection 15 minutes

Who wants to be a millionaire (Interactive with sound) students to be reminded of keywords at the beginning of the plenary students to be given instructions on how to play students identify Corner A, B, C, D so they know where to go when answering the question Strict rules No running, pushing etc, students who do misbehave will face a detention as it will ruin the activity for the rest of the class Students who do pick the wrong answer and sit down at their desk quietly Students will only complete 7 questions on who wants to be a millionaire the following lesson the remaining 8 questions to be done 7 of the questions will be the same, this will get students to reflect on key words from their previous lesson 1 final question added in to work out who the millionaires are To be continued next lesson from question 8 as starter activity (reorganise the questions & make 1 1 million pound question)
