A Huge Hi to Members and Friends,

Welcome to June! Did you know the month of June is known for having the most Wedding Ceremonies, Junes flower is the rose and Junes Birthstone(s) are the Pearl, Moonstone and Alexandrite. I hope everyone is managing to keep warm and dry as we all endure winter! I have personally spent some time doing little things at home to save money and to make sure my house is energy efficient. Little things like blocking off draughts around windows and at the bottom of doors, turning stuff off at the wall at night, this all makes a difference. We have fare welled Pam, she has loved meeting everyone and enjoyed her involvement with your families. She sends her love and best wishes to you all. We thank you Pam for all you have done for Birthright Taupo Inc and we wish you all the best for the future. We also welcome to our Team: Pilar Whelan, Congratulations Pilar on your appointment as the new Assistant Coordinator! We are lucky to have you! Kia ora from Pilar: I am a single mum of 2 fantastic young men ages 13 and 15. We are of Ngati Kahungunu, Ngati Tuwharetoa and Ngati Ireland decent and moved to Taupo 9 years ago. I coach endurance athletes and swimmers to assist them to reach their potential. I am currently studying for the Swimming New Zealand Bronze Level Coaching Accreditation and Psychology with Massey University. I look forward to meeting you all.

Winter Carnival Kids Camp is coming up! Below are the details and registration forms for camp. If you have any other questions or need any other information, please contact Jess at camp on 073867967 or email office@ltcc.org.nz Dates: MiCamp Taupo (Formerly known as Lake Taupo Christian Camp): 15th-19th July MiCamp Whakamaru (Formerly known as Lake Whakamaru Christian Camp): 22nd-26th July Ages: 7-13 years Cost: $155 Times: Arrive 2:00 pm on Monday Depart 10:30 am on Frida yLake Taupo Christian Camp, Ruapheu Christian Camp and Lake Whakamaru Christian Camp have amalgamated under a new name MiCamp Trust. This will come into effect on the 1st of July 2013. The camps will be referred to as: MiCamp Taupo MiCamp Whakamaru

Second Hand Uniforms: Attention Birthright Members

Basic , Quick, cheap Chicken Soup Recipe

Ingredients: Chicken (as much or little as you want) Chicken stock cube's (2) Water Mushrooms Onions

Do you have any good quality second hand School uniforms? Birthright Taupo is accepting donations of School Uniforms on behalf of our Birthright Children. This is a massive help for our single parents and helps to elevate stress on all! These shall be professionally sanitized and then available from the Birthright office. Also, please note over winter the ground and front steps leading to Birthright get slippery please be careful.

Method: First take a cooking pot and fill it 3/4 of the way with water and put on the gas to boil, while this is boiling, cut up mushrooms and onions into very small pieces (about 3 mushrooms and half an onion is enough. Then when the water is boiled put the mushroom and onion into the water and add two chicken stock cubes - break the stock cubes with your stirring utensil if you need to. While you leave the water to simmer, cut up raw chicken into small pieces and put it all in the water with added seasoning of your choice, leave to boil for 20 minutes at a high temperature and then simmer for 10 minutes after that, and then youre done! (Serve with French bread or toast)
