Dear Potential Speaker Thank you for showing an interest in Interesting Talks.

Please read through this information pack and please do not hesitate to get back in contact with me with any questions you may have. Warm regards Matt Kendall (Interesting Talks Founder and Host)

History of Interesting Talks Interesting Talks was set up in January of 2011 by Matt Kendall. The group was founded on www.meetup.com and grew rapidly. With incredible feedback and reviews from those attending, membership sign ups flew past the critical 1000 milestone within a year. The group has gained a lot of momentum and it attracting an increasing amount of members every single day. It currently has over 3500 members, making it one of the largest meetup groups in London. At the beginning Matt was going to speak at the majority of the events until he realised the potential of having guest speakers who can talk on a range of subjects. The name Interesting Talks was chosen so that the themes and topics were not pigeonholed into one category. Although there is a strong leaning towards Psychology and Self Development, this truly is a platform for a range of topics and subjects.

The aim of Interesting Talks is 3 fold; To provide excellent and informative talks to interested people at a great price To give speakers an unrestricted platform to share their ideas and promote themselves and their work (books, products, course places, mailing list signups etc) To bring like minded people together to network and connect

About the Organiser Matt is a Clinical Hypnotherapist with a passion for learning and bringing like minded people together. As a huge fan of attending seminars and training courses, Matt decided to put his event organisation skills to use and formed his own regular events. Matt is an experienced event organiser, having set up and run both music promotion and business networking companies in Manchester. Having organised and hosted over 300 events, Matt is extremely competent at event co-ordination, making it a professional and well organised experience for both the speakers and attendees.

Event Details The events are held in venues in Central London. Traditionally the talks have taken place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 6pm 9pm. The event is split into two 45 minute segments with a 15 minute break. In the past we have given both segments to 1 speaker, as well as having 2 different speakers doing 45 minutes each. After the event the attendees are led to a local pub where we encourage people to chat and network. Typically the speaker/s will also be in attendance which gives the attendees more time to ask further questions. The talks are recorded and archived in MP3 and video format. There will also be photos taken and published on the meetup group. The audio and video recordings are to be retained by Interesting Talks and may be used for commercial purposes including content and membership sites. Copies of the audio and video can be made available you as long as they are not posted publically in their full length entirety.

Audience Demographic The organiser has worked hard to cultivate a warm and friendly audience which makes speaking at these events a pleasure. The attendees tend to be proactive, entrepreneurial and interested in Psychology and self development. The audience is usually a very even split between men and women, with ages ranging from mid twenties right through to people in their 70s. The majority of the attendees are in their late 20s and 30s.

Speaking Requirements Potential speaker for Interesting Talks are required to have previous experience as a public speaker or trainer. The events will be busy, and although the audience is friendly and welcoming, they will be expecting a professional and well prepared talk. The speakers are not required to sell any advanced tickets or to bring a certain amount of people. Help with promotion is always greatly appreciated through social media. Interesting Talks has a large and dedicated membership which ensures all the talks are very well attended. The vast majority of the talks sell out well in advance.

Event Promotion The events are promoted on the meetup group www.interestingtalks.co.uk and on Facebook www.facebook.com/interestingtalkslondon. Events are promoted at least 28 days in advance. We currently have a limit of 60 seats available per event. The vast majority of events sell out with at least 7 days to go before the talk.

Venue Information The current venue is St Jamess Church, Conference Centre which is located on Piccadilly, Central London. The venue holds 60 people theatre style. There is a projector screen, however we do not supply a laptop or projector. These are to be arranged by the speakers if required. There is a flip chart that can be used by the speakers. We do not use microphones (apart from those to record the talks) or any other audio or visual equipment. Amplification is not required in the venue. The venue is conveniently located on Piccadilly and close to Piccadilly Circus and Green Park Tube stations.

Payment and Financial Information Interesting Talks is responsible for all the costs incurred at the events including venue hire. Speakers are not directly paid by Interesting Talks, however we will do our best to promote yourself and your services to the audience and through our websites and social media. Past speakers have generated a lot of work in the form of new clients, book and product sales (which is permitted and positively encouraged at the events) and building their own database of new leads. The speakers are permitted to talk about their products and services, but this is not a platform for a sales pitch. The talk itself must be of value without the need for further investment from the attendees. Joint ventures, referrals and affiliate marketing will be discussed individually with each speaker.

Matt is organised, efficient and professional. He gave excellent advice on ways to optimise my presentation to ensure I get good follow up sales and supported me throughout the process. At the event, he was focused on the audience to make sure everything went smoothly. I'd certainly work with Matt again and personally recommend him without hesitation. "In preparation for my "interesting talk" Matt Kendall was spot on in guiding me as to his audiences style and motivations. This meant I was able to pitch my talk at exactly the right level. Us speakers are notorious for being unorganised at times as we are busy booking things here there and everywhere. Matt was great at following up with me to not just make sure he had everything he needed to know from me in good time, but also to ensure that I know exactly how the event would work, where I needed to be and when. All in all speaking for interesting talks was a smooth running affair and I'd happily go back and speak for them again." Gemma Bailey www.peoplebuilding.co.uk

"I've spoken at Matt's events twice now. Both times he has provided a seamless and enjoyable journey from agreement to stage. Both times he over-delivered on his promise by expanding the event at my request. Both times he over-filled the room, giving me an engaging and exciting audience to speak for. Despite not being paid upfront for speaking, I've indirectly profited by selling tickets to my own events and by taking on a number of private clients. Happy to speak for Matt again anytime he has a stage for me!" John P Morgan http://jpmorganjr.com

"I really enjoyed speaking at "Interesting talks". Matt is great at organizing it and he has managed to attract a super audience that is very engaged and hungry to learn and I got a bunch of great leads. Patrick M. Powerswww.growthfanatics.com

I approached Matt after looking at the various Meetup groups. Interesting Talks seemed to suit my demographic (young Londoners from a range of backgrounds) and I noticed he'd secured a few selfhelp speakers before. I attended a talk and proposed my idea to him - he was open and enthusiastic and alive to the possibilities. There was no stuffiness or pretentiousness - just lots of people hoping to hear something interesting. Matt gave me a great intro and gave me a lot of confidence, although the best thing was the crowd: his group is great. They are friendly, intelligent, broadminded and full of positive questions and suggestions. Of all the gigs I've done, Interesting Talks has been my favourite. There was just something about the buzz of it - the positive vibe that engendered a fun but informative event. And right at the heart of it is Matt. It has his personality stamped all over it, which is a huge positive. Robert Kelsey, Author of Whats Stopping You?

Matt is a fantastic person to work with, I had no hesitation in accepting Matts offer to deliver a talk at his interesting speakers seminar group. From past experience i found Matt to be well organised, and thoroughly professional. My experience at the seminar was top class, Matt is a truly dedicated professional. Who is very personable, thorough and professional. Jimmy Petruzzi http://jimmypetruzzi.co.uk/

"I recently gave a lecture for the Interesting Talks London group organised by Matt Kendall and would like to express my thanks for a wonderfully organised, friendly and open minded forum. It is not often that one can address a large group of diverse individuals and still feel like you are having a one to one conversation with friends. I would highly recommend other speakers to take the opportunity to join the group and experience the same joy speaking to them as I did" James Brown - Professional Opportunist

'Matt Kendall does a great job at organising the Interesting Talks London series. I have followed the discussions of the other talks on-line and was very impressed with his ability to generate interest from the public in my own talk alongside a very full schedule this Autumn. The logistics, venue and organisation were all top notch, the audience proved to be highly engaged and responsive to the different elements of my talk. I met some great people and know that there will be excellent follow up. This is a great network and a great set of events.' Professor Todd Landman http://www.todd-landman.com/

Im very happy to endorse Matt Kendall who organised a very successful speaking event for me. We had a full house, a very engaged and friendly crowd, and the whole evening was extremely successful. And much of that was down to the hard logistical work that Matt puts in behind the scenes, making sure everything goes perfectly smoothly. Before the event, during and after, it was a pleasure working with him and I look forward to working with him again some time. Simon Horton http://www.negotiation-mastery.com/

What a splendid idea: invite experts along to give interesting talks and fill the room with people who are interested. And what lovely people too. A great audience and a great night. Many thanks!! Davis Straker http://changingminds.org

"Interesting Talks in London are a very welcoming and warm group who offer up their respect and attention to the speaker. My experience of this group was thoroughly enjoyable and I have had several members contact me and register for my own seminars within 24 hours of speaking. Matt Kendall is incredibly accommodating and organises diligently as well as setting the very agreeable tone that meets you there." Adam Eason www.adam-eason.com

Interesting Talks provided an engaging, receptive audience, that gave me access to a whole new range of people. It was very well organised, enjoyable and will surely become a London institution Hayley Quinn http://hayleyquinn.com/

Our experience of working with Matt at Interesting Talks, was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. He was very supportive in the lead up to the night answering any questions myself and Rosie had and suggesting some great tips and ideas to make the evening more of a success. The evening ran very smoothly, no doubt because of his hard work and organisation behind the scenes and he provided a fantastic audience who were engaged and full of questions. I look forward to more collaborations in the future. Thanks again. Jess Scott www.missnutritionist.com

Thank you for inviting me, I look forward to the next time." Andrew T Austin http://www.andrewtaustin.com/ Matt creates a unique atmosphere at his talks, his audience is generally very engaged because Interesting Talks London offers so much value. Which would explain why he has such a great following and loyalty. I am really looking forwards to coming back and speaking for Matt again anytime. Elliot Kay http://www.thecoachwiththehat.com Hi Matt, Just a quick note to say thank you very much for inviting me to speak at 'Interesting Talks', I have been amazed at the positive response from the attendees and as a result have increased my database by over 70 qualified leads. I cannot think of another platform that can achieve a result like this which allows me to pitch to an interested audience for two hours, who have paid to come and listen to why what I have to offer can be so valuable to them, and with the added bonus of zero outlay for myself! I feel that you have found the 'blip in the matrix' that all the marketing companies I've worked with so far have missed completely. Thank you again, and I look forward to presenting my next interesting talk. Regards, Hag Hughes http://www.haghughes.com/
