INTRODUCTION
A questionnaire is a research instrument consisting of a series of questions and other prompts for the purpose of gathering information from respondents. Although they are often designed for statistical analysis of the responses, this is not always the case. Questionnaires have advantages over some other types of surveys in that they are cheap, do not require as much effort from the questioner as verbal or telephone surveys, and often have standardized answers that make it simple to compile data. However, such standardized answers may frustrate users. Questionnaires are also sharply limited by the fact that respondents must be able to read the questions and respond to them. Thus, for some demographic groups conducting a survey by questionnaire may not be practical.

This questionnaire is filled online and manually and the following advantages and limitations of online and manual questionnaire are noticed and mentioned below

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF ONLINE QUESTIONNAIRE

Advantages

Low costs. Respondents input their own data, and it is automatically stored electronically. Analysis thus becomes easier and can be streamlined, and is available immediately.

Less time. Rapid deployment and return times are possible with online surveys that cannot be attained by traditional methods.

Convenience for respondents. They can answer questions on their schedule, at their pace, and can even start a survey at one time, stop, and complete it later.

No interviewer. Respondents may be more willing to share personal information because they're not disclosing it directly to another person. Interviewers can also influence responses in some cases.

Disadvantages

Limited sampling and respondent availability.

Possible cooperation problems. Although online surveys in many fields can attain response rates equal to or slightly higher than that of traditional modes, internet users today are constantly bombarded by messages and can easily delete your advances.

No interviewer. A lack of a trained interviewer to clarify and probe can possibly lead to less reliable data.

CONCLUSION

Source of questionnaire must be chosen according to need of type of response. All the questionnaire are best ways of response according to its utilities. So when perfect answers are required and there is no restriction of time and money, personal survey questionnaire is the best way. For example- government surveys. And where there is restriction of time and money, online survey questionnaire is the best method of collecting survey response.
