I. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course tackles the nature, scope, functions and importance of Business Policy. It integrates the principles and techniques for planning, organizing, leading and controlling production to existing enterprises and/or cases. It addresses the use of the case method in Strategic Management/Business Policy cases. It includes discussions on integrated planning, organizing, leading and controlling functions commonly used in business firms. II. COURSE OBJECTIVES: At the end of the 14-week exposure to the rudiments of Business Policy, the student is expected to be able to: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Understand and appreciate the activities and tasks involved in Strategic Management/Business Policy. Distinguish the differences between Business Policy theories and its practical applications. Apply the appropriate Business Policy concepts & methods for analyzing business cases. Communicate the case analysis and results.
