Capper Quayles Saratoga Selections for Friday August 2nd

RACE 1: CARD OPENS UP WITH CLAIMING RACE 1 MILE ON INNER TURF FOR 3 YR OLDS AND UP #9 Eriugena (3-1) has good form coming into todays race running best Beyer fig at Delaware and 2nd of layoff for trainer Graham motion who excels in turf routes, him and Edgar work well together and I will give them the nod in this field that I feel is pretty weak #7 Sky Lover (7-2)- on paper looks best to me but quick turnaround I think will be trouble, gets Javier for new off claim trainer Dommy Gall. #6 Chilton (6-1): Yet to find winners circle on turf but good horse to play underneath.

Race 2: 5 Furlongs Maiden Special Weight for 2 yr olds #3 Groupthink (2-1) 1ster of the Chad Brown barn, has been working well and gets Javier up; in a field full of mostly 1sters Ill take Chad over the rest of these guys #5 Sol the Freud (5-1) #2 Tapidor (5-2)

Race 3: 5 Furlongs Allowance Optional Claiming #6 Sweet Maxine (10-1) going to take a stab with this one. I think this is a very good horse but will be facing tougher competition. I think Navarro is good jockey as well, will stalk pace on backstretch and draw away on homestretch #5 Fiftyfour Forever (3-1) will go out to lead, Rosie could very well wire them, seems to be returning to good form. #4 Bit Bustin

Race 4:

#4 Utopian Wife(5-1): been waiting for this horse to run for a while, put a boat load on him opening day and jumped through the gate right before post. Has been working like a machine and gets Rosario up. #3 Scibbling Sarah (3-1) #5 Courageous Karen (6-1)

Race 5: #3 Sapphire Blue (5/2): think Javier and Chad Brown will get this one his maiden win. Will stalk quick pace and sweep on stretch. #6 Giants Jewel (4-1) interesting Joel choses to ride this one instead of Maker/ramsey horse which he usually will ride #2 Shortbread Scotty (8-1): outside post 2 turns on turf, cuts down distance from last race will help this one.

Race 6: #5 Double the Energy (6-1): I think Linda Rice will finally get one here. Has previous success at Saratoga #6 Rosa Salvaje (8-1) #4 Spun Cap (7-2) #2 Sounds of the City (3-1)

Race 7: #1 Take down Two (3-1): love servis first off claim and first off layoff this one should fire; is 1/3 at spa. #6 PJs Magical Wink (7-2) if anyone is better than Servis first off claim its David Jacobson. #4 Italian Rules (2-1)

Race 8: #6 Scotus (6-1) going for a price here with Nevin first off claim with Saez whose had success at these turf routes this meet. If Saez can get this one a good trip I think we can get it home for a good price #1 Bernie the maestro (7-5): the one to beat

Race 9: this is worst race of the day in my opinion. #3 Dapper Drapper (5-2) #4 Force Multiplier (8-5)
