Air pollution
What air pollutants combine and contribute to this issue?

Carbon Dioxide, Nitric Oxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Nitrous Oxide, Sulfur and Chlorofluorocarbons,
Mercury

Briefly describe the health and environmental problems caused by the selected atmospheric
issue.

Breathing problems are becoming a major issue with air pollution. Heavy air pollution has been
known to lead to cancer in some cases. Mercury is released into air and mingles with the rain.
When it rains fish absorb the mercury which we then eat when eating fish.

SCI 275
Provide one key solution to help either reduce the effects or recover from the effects of the
selected issue.

I can’t think of just one key solution, but a couple. One key solution to help reduce the effects of
air pollution is to offer people a trade in on used cars that put off more emissions for one that puts
off less. Another solution would be to figure out how to recycle the pollutants for other uses.
