Photosensitive Drugs There are many medications listed below that can increase the clients chance of reaction

to the laser or IPL. If they are taking any of these medications you must warn them that they have an increased chance of having an adverse reaction to treatment. Treatment settings should be adjusted to help account for this tendency. ISMs should be closely monitored. It is best to use conservative treatment settings. This does not exclude the chance that they may have an adverse reaction so they still must be warned. The list below is not exhaustive and many over the counter vitamins and natural remedies may cause photosensitivity. Please advise your client appropriately. Whenever uncertain, do a test spot and recheck in 2 days. Always document the measures taken in their treatment record
