ABSTRACT

This research is about politeness strategies viewed from pragmatic approach in Good Will Hunting movie script. This research analyzes using politeness strategies. The researcher founds the 62 data. The purpose of the study is to analyze in Good Will Hunting movie script. The results from this research are 28 bald on record strategies, 18 positive politeness strategies, 9negative politeness strategies and7 off record strategies.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengenai strategi kesantunan yang digunakan oleh karakter pada film Good Will Hunting. Strategi kesantunan pada penelitian ini dianalisis melalui pendekatan pragmatik. Data yang terkumpul berjumlah 62 dengan tujuan untuk meneliti pendekatan pragmatik fokus terhadap strategi tutur kesantunan dalam dialog film Good Will Hunting. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh 28 strategi bald on record, 18 strategi positif politeness, 9strateginegatif politeness dan 7strategi off record.

Kata kunci: pragmatik, strategi kesantunan, bald on record, kesantunan positif, kesantunan negatif, off record dan relasi kuasa.
