General information
Field Data Manager (FDM) is a software package offering central data management and visualization of stored data. This allows complete documentation of the data from a measuring point, e.g.: Measured value Diagnostics events Analyses Protocols FDM stores the data tamper-proof in a SQL database. The data base can be installed locally or in a network (Client/Server). Following data bases are supported: PostgreSQL You can use the PostgreSQL database provided on the Field Data Manager Software CD. No manual installation or configuration is required here. The database is configured automatically during installation. Oracle Version 8i or higher. For the configuration of the software with an Oracle database, please contact your database administrator. The provided brief operating instruction contains a detailed description of the proceeding. Microsoft SQL Server Version 2005 or higher. For the configuration of the software with the Microsoft SQL server, please contact your database administrator. License model The basic installation of the Field Data Manager software provides the user with an interface to the SQL database, a Postgre SQL database as well as all main functions. If a different SQL server (possibly a server already existing in the customers system) is to be used, the interface can be connected with this database. The standard version is delivered together with a license for one workstation. If the FDM software is to be installed on several workplaces, one license per workplace is required. Order code for the Endress+Hauser Field Data Manager Software: MS20-A1 (version with 1x workplace license) Test version A test version can be used free of charge for 90 days.
