Presbyterian Missionary Union is a non-profit missions agency associated with the Bible Presbyterian Church. Our purpose is
to advance the cause of missions that are biblically based and practiced and to stand against any compromise of the saving gos-
pel of Jesus Christ. PMU is directed by a Missions Council of Christian leaders who volunteer their time to guide the ministry.
To learn more about missions opportunities through PMU, or to learn more about the BPC please contact us. The Missions
Banner is published ten times a year and is distributed without cost to interested individuals and churches. It seeks to promote
the clear stand of the BPC by providing a biblical perspective on issues, fads, and theories in missions and church development.
Our Editor is Len Pine, and our Publishing Coordinator is Tito Lyro.
Paauwes Keep Busy!
Ed and Lehia are finding that their labors in Perth, Western
Australia, are opening many other doors of opportunity in the
region. In an update letter to PMU’s office dated October 23,
they write, “We have just finished teaching the second semester
of Evangel Bible Institute, and only the final exams are left.
“On November 24, Lehia and I will fly to Singapore; we'll
be gone for about twelve days. On Saturday, November 26, I've
been invited to preach at the dedication service of the new
building for the Ulu Tiram Bible-Presbyterian Church. Ulu Ti-
ram is a village in the southern part of the state of Johore in Ma-
Bible Presbyterian Church of Western Austra- laysia. The congregation of this church comprises Indians and
lia (Perth) they worship in the Tamil language, which means the sermon
will have to be interpreted.
“On Sunday, November 27, I'll be preach-
ing at two Bible-Presbyterian Churches in
Singapore (morning and evening). Then on
Tuesday or Wednesday (November 29 or
30), we'll be flying to Pontianak in West
Kalimantan. Kalimantan is the Indonesian
part of what used to be called Borneo. I've
been asked to preach at the 5th Borneo Bi-
ble Camp and Missions Conference, No-
vember 30 - December 4. Representatives
from at least half a dozen Bible-
Presbyterian Churches will meet together.
(I would rather not mention the names of
these churches, because at least one of them
is an underground church, and mentioning
the name could cause problems for the
members of that church.) Lehia will be hav-

these meetings will have interpretation into Indonesian. We're
scheduled to return to Perth on December 5.
“On December 16, we're having a Praise Night and Gospel
Rally at Bible-Presbyterian Church of Western Australia. This
will be an opportunity to proclaim the saving Gospel of the
Lord Jesus Christ to the lost.

Kimas’ Baby Arrives!

Khawl and Mawite Kima, PMU missionaries to Myanmar, brought their first child into the world this month!
The baby was due on November 21. However, Mawite had to go into the hospital early (on November 1) with high
blood pressure. She delivered by C-section as soon as her blood pressure went down on Tuesday, October 8, at 8:05
AM. Baby Kima weighed in at 3.3 kg (about 7.28 lbs.). Mom and baby are doing fine. Please pray for wisdom, faith,
and their financial needs to be met (no health insurance, all must be paid out of pocket). Khawl writes, “Let us care
for nothing for God is with us. He is in control of everything. He answers our prayers.”
The Kimas are in great need also of regular monthly support from churches and individuals. Can you help? Their
many-faceted ministry in both Yangon and the Shan state to the north depends upon it! Thank you.
