Students will have one full day to spend in the computer lab to synthesize their information into the PowerPoint presentations. Each day spent in the Media Center students will be required to turn in a short progress report to the teacher to get full credit for the day. Presentations will be given after 4 days in the Media Center/Computer Lab. During presentations, students should fill in graphic organizer/notes of their own making while groups are presenting- remind them this will be useful to study for the quiz See assignment sheet and rubrics for details about what is necessary for research and presentation: i. PERSONALITY THEORIES RESEARCH ASSIGNMENT

Your task is to discover why people act the way that they do. In your groups, you will research a personality theory, understand the vocabulary that is associated with that theory, explore a personality assessment, and critique the theory. Your group will be presenting your findings to the class through a PowerPoint presentation (if you have other ideas on how your group would like to present, check with me first! ) Time will be spent in the Media Center and Computer Lab. Make sure to use your time wisely! Each group will be handing in daily progress reports! Any work that cannot be completed in the time we spend in the Media Center/ Computer Lab will need to be worked on outside of class; however, we should have enough time to complete the projects. Presentations will be 15-20 minutes in length. Be sure to include all components in your research and presentation. See rubric for more details on grading, and components of your presentations. In addition, each group member needs to turn in a three-page paper (double spaced, 12-point font) including major points from your research/presentation, work cited page and a short reflection on it. The work cited page needs to include at least six (6) sources, of which two (2) needs to be books and/or journals, while the other four can be any other form of reliable source. Citations need to be in MLA format, attached is a how-to guide to remind you of the correct format. While groups are presenting, you need to create a graphic organizer/notes that will include the main points of the groups presentation, vocabulary, and the personality assessment. (See rubric)
