WEBCIRCULAR TheLearningCentresarerequestedtonotethechangesintheprocessofswipingthedebit/credit cardseffectivefrom25.03.2013,inviewofrevisedguidelinesofReserveBankofIndia. 1.

. All existing EDC machines will be disconnected from the PC interface and will have to be connectedtoastandardtelephoneline(asusedtobeearlierdoneforAxisBankEDC). 2. HDFC personnel will progressively replace the Innoviti software in the EDC machine with HDFCs software starting from 25th March 2013. Once this is completed, the EDC can be connected to the telephone line and transactions can be processed. HDFC personnel will complete this activity on or before the 31st of March 2013. Hence there will be a disruption of swipe transactions starting 25th March till HDFC personnel complete the activity at your learning centre. Please do not attempt to process swipe transactions till

theHDFCpersonnelhavecompletedtheaboveactivity.
a. Effective from 25th March 2013, the following process will apply for all EDC swipes (as and when the new system is put in place at the Centre). The LCs will process all activities (Fresh, Reregistration, Resitting and other student services) in my zone portalasbeingdonecurrently. i. On clicking Pay or Verified and confirmed, my zone portal opens the payment page with payment options vis. Demand Draft, Swipe, Credit/Debit andNetBanking. ii. To enter details of Swipe transactions, click on swipe and a data capture pageopenswithdetailsofthestudent,program,semesterandfeespayable. iii. At this stage the LCs are required to swipe the card in the EDC machine connectedtothestandardtelephonelineandgeneratethechargeslip. iv. Details of the payment have to be entered as printed in the charge slip and continue with the standard process for completing the payment process in theportal. v. TheLChastomaintainthesignedcopyofchargeslipforfuturereferenceas andwhenrequiredbytheBank/Universityforallthetransactions. vi. Incaseoffreshadmissions,thesignedcopyofchargesliphastobeattached totheadmissionform,whiledispatchingtotheUniversity. vii. Charge slip will also get generated for unsuccessful or timed out transactions, with a message printed on the charge slip. Hence proper care hastobetakentogetthesignatureonlyforsuccessfultransactions. viii. In case of unsuccessful transactions, the LC has to re swipe the card and enterthepaymentdetailsafterthetransactionissuccessful. ix. IT IS MANDATORY to do batch closure of all swiped transactions failing which the amount will not get credited to Universitys Account and such studentsformwillnotgetapproved. 3. AManualdetailingtheabovestepsisuploadedintheLCportalandstudentsportal.

4. There is no change in the process for all other modes of paymentviz.DD,NetbankingandPaymentGateway


5. TheCashManagementSystemforDDcollectionwillcontinueasitisbeingdonetoday. 23.03.2013
