Humanity has made a little progress over the past century or so.

Technological innovations have taken place, but the overall condition of humanity is no better. War, violence, and poverty are still with us. Technology cannot change the condition of humanity. Have technological innovation over the past century failed to bring about a positive change in humanity? The speaker asserts that though there has been a great advancement in the technology, nevertheless, the amelioration of humanity has been no better. Albert Einstein has stated that it is become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity i agree in so far with the speakers assertion that there has been a great advancements of the technology, but the speaker unnecessarily extends this broad assertion by embracing the fact that the humanity has been stagnated. Talking about the advancements of technology, one ought to know that the amount of resources that were consumed until 1900AD were tantamount to the number of resources being used since then, i.e. the next 120 years. In addition, other major success example to bolster this point is the number of elements of the periodic table discovered until yet. Earlier, the scientists could find hardly one element in approximately a century, but now, in every 1 or 2 years, at least one element is included to the periodic table. With a click of button, we can now get access to a huge machines thats adds to the convenience the technology has provided us. Productivity software available today can help us plan projects, the internet, and intranet and help us design bridges, lanes, automobiles parts, and many other things easily. In this modern industrial and computerised revolution, the quality of life has definitely been ameliorated, at least in the developed world. With the use of internet, now we can get access to the remote areas of the world, and the third world countries, which need attention, and provide them with the facilities for their improvement. The advent of steel production has provided a plethora of innovative conveniences. In addition, with the advancement in medical science, the amount of human sufferings has reduced up to a large extent. The benefits that the technology has provided us are infinite, but such progress comes with a cost. I do not feel obliged to believe that the god, who has endowed us with sense, reason and intelligence, has intended us to forgo their use. The biggest problems faced by the world today, War, Violence and Poverty stem from certain aspects of human nature, Greed and aggression. It has become appallingly obvious that man has become a tool of his own tools. With the advent in physics, and with the discovery of the method of how to harness the energy of an ATOM, he may call it peace makers, but this argument flies in the face of the thousands of people who have got maimed and murdered by these atomic blasts and nuclear meltdowns. With the enhancement of chemical science, we have now chemical weapon for human slaughter used worldwide against one another. The internet may have allowed access to a lot of information, but it also sows the seeds for the development of illegal activities, which ultimately leads to economic loss and human suffering. Also with advancement in technology comes a greater expectation, which ultimately increases the work load of the workers, hence snatching their leisure time from them. The things and technology they use, but the perspective with which they takes of things do not disturb men. With better perspective, the world will become a better place to live in. After all, in the end, everything is a gag.
