Interethnic Integration in Education Project

1. Please describe how (with which activities) the school will contribute towards the interethnic integration in its own community. How will those activities affect the interethnic integration in education in the school and local community? What are the expected outcomes from the activities for interethnic integration in the school and local community? By means of performing several activities the school will improve the quality and the variety of the educational system based on law, equity and respect for difference. This will contribute to achieving multi-ethnic integration in the community. Activities: 1. Identifying the current condition of the multi-ethnic relations in the school, as well as determining of students opinion for people from other ethnic group. 2. Discovering similarities and differences between cultures, finding the reasons for an ethnic intolerance, eliminating the prejudice and eliminating the ethnic discrimination. 3. Establishing free communication between Roma and Macedonian ethnic group, building a better life. 4. Understanding of the existing stereotypes and prejudice between the ethnic groups. 5. Better understanding of the values, the tradition and the identity of the ethnic groups. The above mentioned activities will positively affect the multi-ethnic integration in the school and in the local community. The expected benefits of the activities for integration of ethnic groups in the school and in the local community are: a high degree of tolerance between the ethnic groups will be achieved, the traditional awareness of all the human factors will be improved, a modern humanitarian school will be establish, where the different ethnic identities will be perceived with respect and reverence, and people won be appreciated according to their ethnic groups but according to personality. The multi-ethnic stereotypes and prejudice that negatively affect the multi-ethnic integration will be broken. All the above mentioned will contribute to the forming of a harmonic and healthy environment in the school, which will be based on the right of equity and respect, equal opportunities for development of all individuals.
