Description of Goods:

Below is a detailed specification of the generator being provided based on the specification received
pertaining to Section 16400 Pages 1-7.

2. Products

2.1 Generation Plant

The diesel generator plant shall be completed and include:
1) Fuel system, fuel tank, and fuel supply
2) Exhaust system
3) Cooling system
4) Battery starting system with battery charger
5) All automatic controls
6) Radio suppression to commercial standards
7) Automatic transfer switch
8) Block Heater
9) Weatherproof sound attenuated outdoor enclosure
10) Built in radiator load bank

The generator is designed to start upon utility failure from a signal from the automatic transfer switch and
shut down upon return to utility.

The generator being supplied is based on the Perkins 1104C ElectropaK Tier 2 engine rated at 60kW
with an oversized Mecc Alte alternator end to ensure we meet the low temperature rise requirements.
The alternator will be sized using a 208V 0.8 PF rating Y connected for 120/208V operation.

The generator will be CSA approved and include all fluids including engine oil and coolant.

We have not included the extra 4” tubing required to extend the generator exhaust from generator
enclosure to the exterior building wall.

2.2 Diesel Engine – Generator Set

The generator set will include a diesel engine and a synchronous alternator end controlled by a digital
control panel. The generator will include:
1) High coolant temperature shutdown
2) Low coolant temperature shutdown
3) Low oil pressure shutdown
4) Overspeed shutdown
5) Crank limiter
6) Oil drain extension
7) Radiator drain extension
8) Radiator
9) Closed coolant system
10) UV / ozone resistant hoses
11) Rubber booted electrical connections
12) Secondary engine mounted fuel filter
13) Primary RACOR fuel water separator
14) Flexible fuel lines
15) Fuel lock off solenoid

2.3 Sub-Base Fuel Tank

A sub base tank of approximately 510 L will be used to supply fuel for the generator set for a minimum of
48 hours at 100% rated load. The fuel tank will be of double wall construction with 110% containment.
The fuel tank will include a mechanical fuel gauge with a low level switch and containment sensor. An
electrical stub up will be provided such that conduit can be utilized in the concrete base and be fed from
the unit mounted circuit breakers.

The initial fill of diesel has been included as a separate line item in the pricing below. The price does not
need to be accepted as part of the total project.

2.4 Alternator

The Mecc Alte alternator will be a single bearing alternator directly coupled via a flexible coupling to the
Perkins engine. The machine will be rated for operation at 60Hz 1800 RPM. The alternator end will have
class H insulation (higher than the class F specified) and will be rated such the that the unit will be able to
deliver full rated power without exceeding the specified 60 degree rise at 40 degrees ambient. A solid
state voltage regulator will be provided that is applicable to CSA codes.

2.5 Circuit breakers

Each circuit breaker will be mounted independently on the alternator terminal connection box. The circuit
breakers will be installed within NEMA 1 enclosures and will be situated such that the feeder conduits
can come out of the concrete pad, through the electrical stub up area of the fuel tank, and terminate in
the circuit breaker.

Three different circuit breakers will be included in this package:
- Building life safety: 100A 3 pole 4 wire with 70A trip setting
- Non – essential power loads: 100A 3 pole 4 wire with 40A trip setting
- Generator load bank: 100A 3 pole 4 wire with 100A trip setting

2.6 Control Panel

A Deep Sea 7310 digital control panel will be utilized for the control of the generator set. The unit will be
housed in a control box that will be mounted on top of the alternator terminal box facing one of the
access doors. The control panel will be of solid state design and will include removable snap in terminal
strips for user replacement of the control panel if necessary.

2.7 Instrument Control panel

The Deep Sea 7310 digital control panel will have a user friendly interface that will allow the user to scroll
through a number of different pages to access the information they require. Information that will be
available will include but will not be limited to:
1) Voltmeter
2) Ammeter
3) Voltmeter – ammeter selector switch
4) Frequency meter
5) Panel light
6) Battery charger ammeter
7) Coolant temperature reading
8) Running time meter
9) Plug in voltage regulator with panel mounted rheostat
10) Low coolant level shut down
11) High coolant temperature shut down
12) Low oil shut down
13) Low fuel level warning
14) Low battery light
15) Remote engine start

Additional details regarding the control panel can be found with the attached spec sheet.

2.8 Starting Battery

A 12V starting system will be provided for up to 4 start attempts without recharging. The smart battery
charger will mount within the generator enclosure and be powered by a dedicated 15A 120V shore power
supply.

2.9 Silencer

A critical grade exhaust silencer will be installed with this generator set which has a higher level of sound
attenuation than the residential grade silencer. The muffler will be supported on a metal rack that ensures
that it will not interfere with the maintenance access of the generator. A flexible stainless steel exhaust
connector will be included to reduce vibration transmission between the generator and the exhaust
system.

We have not included the extra 4” tubing required to extend the generator exhaust from generator
enclosure to the exterior building wall. Pricing per foot can be supplied as well as all elbows and
connections based on final dimensions required.

2.10 Engine Ventilating System

The exhaust air will include a flexible connection between the radiator and the sound attenuated
enclosure to reduce vibration transmission. A discharge damper will be installed within the enclosure that
will open upon engine start without creating excess back pressure on the fan.

2.11 Weather Proof Enclosure

A fully self contained, sound attenuated weather proof enclosure will be provided with lockable doors and
panels. The services doors will include hinges that can lift out when the door is fully opened. The
enclosure will include a sloped roof to reduce water pooling and will include a drip ledge and rain shield
to prevent water from entering the enclosure.

The generator enclosure will be sized such that sound levels do not exceed 65 dB at 7m. The unit will
consist of 14 gauge steel construction with the Architects choice of colour applied to sspc-sp1 standards.
The unit will be designed as a skin tight enclosure that will mount to the sub-base fuel tank. A HPS
exterior light will be installed to the outside of the enclosure to provide illumination.

2.12 Automatic Transfer Switches

Two 100A ASCO Series 7000 open transition automatic transfer switch c/w double-sided
bypass/isolation.

The transfer switch is designed to start and stop the generator upon utility failure and return as well as to
allow the user to manually by pass the transfer switch under load from either utility or emergency power.
The transfer switch includes all sensors and delay set points as required under CSA282.

An additional spec sheet has been attached for additional information.

2.13 Control Console

The control console will be integrated into the Deep Sea 7310 digital control panel with all necessary
meters and gauges as per CSA 282.

2.14 Remote Annunciator

The Deep Sea 2548 remote annunciator can be connected to the digital control panel up to 1000m away.
The unit includes 8 individual LEDs and includes an audible alarm and a push to silence button and will
automatically reset when the alarm at the controller is cleared. A flashing LED indicator will also be
provided when the link to the controller is lost. The remote annuncator will include:
1) LED’s power source indicator
2) Fail to start alarm
3) Low battery voltage alarm
4) Low fuel level alarm
5) Low temperature alarm
6) High temperature alarm

The remote annunciator is compact, however the dimensions are 180mm x 116mm opposed to the
requested 100mm x 300mm. If this annunciator sizing does not work for you we can move to a different
annunciator / control panel combination with similar functionality.

2.15 Load Bank

An integrated 35kW load bank will be supplied with the generator and will be directly bolted to the
radiator to utilize the radiator fan for air movement. The load bank will be integrated into the 100A circuit
breaker specified previously in this quotation.

2.16 Test

The unit will under go a full load test prior to shipping to verify 100% operational acceptance. Certified
test copies will be provided and included in the manuals package.

Provide a load test on site for a total of four hours according to CSA 282. During the testing process, a
battery charger test will be conducted as well as simulated power failure test.

3. Execution

3.1 Coordination

Pricing for fuel is included below based on $1.50 per liter. We would also be happy to co-ordinate the fuel
supply to a third party payee at the cost of the fuel at the time of delivery.

3.2 Installation

Installation of the generator to be completed by others.

3.3 Wiring and Connections

Dimensional drawings and layout configurations will be provided. All other installation work to be supplied
by others.

3.4 Demonstration

We have allowed for a technician to be on site for a total of two days. The first day is for the 4 hour load
test as well as commissioning and training. A second day has been allocated for training additional staff
on site.

The pricing below for the on site time is negotiable based on how much or how little on site time is
required.

3.5 Manufacturer’s Sign Off

A sign off document will be provided upon completion of the on site commissioning.

Terms and Conditions
PRICE
The prices in this Proposal are valid for 30 days. Otherwise, prices are subject to change without
notice. Federal and Provincial Taxes are not included in the quoted price, and will be added as
applicable. AltaStream will retain a security interest in the Systems until the purchase price is paid
in full.

TERMS OF PAYMENT
(a) A pre-payment of 25% of the value of the sale must accompany the order. If the order is
cancelled by the Customer, or the Equipment is not promptly paid for when available for shipment,
the 25% prepayment will be applied as a re-stocking charge for the Equipment.

(b) Unless an AltaStream Credit Application form has been filled in and approved, the remaining
payment in full is due prior to shipment of the Equipment. If credit has been approved, the
Equipment will be invoiced upon shipment, and payment is due net 30 days of date of invoice.
Late payments are subject to interest of 1.0% per month. Credit is NOT available for used
equipment.

(c) Payment for transportation, custom duties, taxes, installation and custom services are due upon
receipt of AltaStream' invoice.

(d) All payments, fees and charges under this Agreement are non-refundable, except as expressly
set out in this Agreement. Except as expressly set out in this Agreement, Equipment is not
returnable to AltaStream.

DELIVERY
Shipping terms are FOB Delta, British Columbia or other applicable AltaStream facility. Delivery
shall be deemed to occur at the FOB point. In addition, title and risk of loss shall pass at the FOB
point. Special packaging requirements requested by Customer will be at Customer's expense.
Customer will pay all charges for transportation.
