COMMISSIONING PROCEDURE

PROJECT : 5X660 MW Mundra Power Project

COMMNG ELEC - 056

415V ACDB (with transformer) CHARGING PROCEDURE Equipment to be charged: Inc 1 1. Confirm that Pre-commissioning checks are completed for ACDB and upstream PMCC Feeder(s) 2. Confirm that Relay settings are adopted as per recommendation for earth fault relays of Incomer(s) 3. Ensure availability of Fire Extinguisher 4. Obtain clearance from working parties 5. Test & record final IR of Incomer Power cables. Confirm proper termination at both ends 6. Test & record final IR of ACDB transformer(s) Inc 2

7. Test & record final IR of ACDB Bus

8. Confirm that all covers are closed on ACDB and upstream PMCC 9. Ensure that all outgoing feeders of ACDB are Isolated 10. Ensure that PTs of ACDB are racked in, with all fuses intact 11. Ensure that ACDB Incomers and Bus Coupler are OFF 12. Note the bus voltage of upstream PMCC and confirm that it is within normal range (415V 10%) 13. Close the upstream PMCC Feeder, thereby charging the Power cable
14. Close the ACDB transformer incoming MCCB, thereby charging the transformer 15. Observe the transformer for any abnormality

16. Close the ACDB transformer outgoing MCCB (Incomer 1), thereby charging Bus-1 of the ACDB 17. Check the voltages at Bus-1 PT voltmeter. Record PT secondary voltages in the table below. Confirm the PT secondary positive phase sequence. 18. Close the Bus Coupler MCCB, thereby charging Bus-2 19. Check the voltages at Bus-2 PT voltmeter. Record PT secondary voltages in the table below. Confirm the PT secondary positive phase sequence

20. Phase out between the secondary voltages of the Bus-1 and Bus2 PTs, and record. A proper phase match is essential.

If both sources are available: 21. Open Bus Coupler MCCB 22. Close the ACDB transformer outgoing MCCB (Incomer 2), thereby charging Bus-2 of the ACDB 23. Check the voltages at Bus-2 PT voltmeter. Record PT secondary voltages in the table below. Confirm the PT secondary positive phase sequence. 24. Phase out between the secondary voltages of the Bus-1 and Bus2 PTs, and record. A proper phase match indicates that the two sources are in phase.
