Being adept in critical reasoning and prowess in decision making are a necessity to make a mark in the world of consulting. Consulenza brings a one-time opportunity to the students of premier business schools to face and deal with real life corporate problems within the confines of our college. Step into the real life scenarios, save a sinking ship and steer it to glory. Test yourself, take control and emerge as a winner. Enhance and apply your practical, logical and decision making ability and pass this acid test to establish yourself as the consulting guru. Let Consulenza take you a step further! RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Every team can have 2 or 3 members, currently pursuing Post Graduation in Management Program. 2. All the members of the team should be from the same college. 3. No participant can be a part of more than one team. 4. The subject of the mail should be <Event_Team Name_College Name> (e.g. Consulenza_XYZ_IMT) 5. Teams who do not adhere to the rules and regulations can be disqualified at any phase of the event. 6. In case of any dispute, the decision of the judges and Passion Organizing Committee is final and binding. EVENT DETAILS Preliminary Round: In the preliminary round, the participants are required to write a solution on the given problem statement in less than 1000 words and mail the article by 11.59 pm, 10th September, 2013 to pr.imtgpassion@gmail.com Problem Statement: White Star Line was founded in Liverpool, in 1845. It operates liner services in the North Atlantic, between Europe and America. They compete with other large liner services, like Cunard from Great Britain and North German Lloyd from Germany. The company concentrates on economy of scales and passenger comfort, in contrast to others which promote themselves on speed. You are J Bruce Ismay, the chairman of The White Star Line. RMS Titanic, the newest and largest liner in the world; the pride of your fleet has sunk on its ill-fated maiden voyage. Proclaimed the unsinkable, it

sank into the cold depths of the Atlantic, taking with it 1496 helpless souls. The newspapers are baying for your blood; they blame your companys greed for pressuring the captain to sail faster, leading to the disaster. The company has lost 600 of its employees, mobs flock to your offices throughout Europe and America demanding action, your 7.5 Million dollar ship lies at the bottom of the ocean. How will you handle public relations of the company in the aftermath of the sinking of the Titanic?
