Christmas PostCard "Greetings from St. Nicholas and Krampus" Published by "M. Munk" - Vienna CHRISTMAS IS DEEPLY ROOTED IN "EVIL"

"Pope Gregory...advised Saint Augustine to allow his converts certain festivals....as formerly they had done this in honor of "the devil"...(therefore) St. Augustine ...permitted their usual December celebration under the new name... From these early pagan...ceremonies are derived many of the English holiday customs that have survived to our day." - The Evolution of Christmas; Published in 1909

"Saint Nicholas Eve is known as Krampus Day in some parts of Austria. Krampus is an evil fertility demon that has a long tail, fur, rattling chain, birch branch, and big black bag." - St. Nicholas Page; by Christine O'Keeffe "Considering Santa you cannot miss his "alter ego", who has followed him like a dark shadow since ancient times. There is a devil, called Percht, Bartl, Krampus, Knecht Ruprecht, or Rotsohler, accompanying Santa Claus in the European Alps. He shows the pre-Christian origin of this custom as a daemon trabant, who wears a costume with horseshoe, basket, and chains, acting as a traditional symbol for the coming of winter. We should mention here also another figure: Ruebezahl, a German mythical, giantlike person, who is a mixture of Krampus and Santa." - Santa's Origin ; by Sepp Rothwangl

The German god "Ruebezahl" - a mixture of "Krampus"(the devil) and Santa. "In Austria a strange and frightening creature, Krampus, is usually with St. Nicholas. This devil figure, often in chains, is dressed in fur with a scarey mask and a long red tongue. Krampus carries a wooden stick or switches to threaten children who misbehave or do not know their lessons." - Saint Nicholas Center; Discovering the Truth About Santa Claus

"According to Mannfred Kapper of the Austrian Cultural Forum, the Krampus was initially a side note to the St. Nicholas story, a goat-faced eminence noir who accompanied St. Nick on his December gift-giving tours. 'Nicholas and Krampus would come to the houses together,' Kapper said. 'Nicholas gave the children presents and Krampus beat them.' But in the last 200 years, Krampus has slowly developed an identity of his own. 'Today Krampus is more popular in the countryside, but if you come to the city it is more St. Nicholas,' he said." - Santa's Not-So-Little Helper; by Clay Risen 4-December-2002 The Morning News

The naughty ones and the lazy ones would be spirited away during the night by Black Peter. The names for black Peter varied from Hans Trapp to Knecht Ruppert to Krampus." - The History of Santa;

Christmas PostCard - "Greetings From Krampus" 1905 - Austria "Santa... he's got a list, he's checking it twice, and if you fall under the 'naughty' category it's switches and coals for you. But what child in America

is at all afraid of receiving a lump of coal under the tree? What child even knows what a 'switch' is? Alpine Europe, on the other hand, doesn't have this problem. This is because years ago St. Nick's job was split - while the jolly old elf delivered the goods, an evil, goat-horned spirit called the Krampus brought switches and bad dreams to the boys and girls of Austria, southern Germany, Switzerland, and far northern Italy." - Santa's Not-So-Little Helper; by Clay Risen 4-December-2002 The Morning News

Christmas PostCard - 1912 Austria Artist Signed, "K. Feiertag" "In this country, St. Nicholas has been thoroughly domesticated as jolly Santa Claus, but in Europe he still travels with a ferocious frightening creature named Krampus... Krampus - usually dressed in fur with a long red tongue and tail and rattles chains - scaring and scolding naughty children and threatening them with birch branches. They often retaliate by throwing snowballs at him. In the bad old days, naughty children were put in Krampus's black bag. Now, its all pleasantly threatening, a sort of combination of Halloween and Christmas." - St. Nicholas ; House on the Hill, Inc.

Christmas PostCard - 1916 Austria "Greetings from Krampus" - Artist Signed "Hartmann" Krampus is still celebrated in Europe under the guise of Christmas Celebrations. "GRAND KRAMPUS RUN On December 05, 2003, Devilish Creatures will gather on the Gtzens Church Square for the annual Krampus Run Spectacle. " - WWW.innsbruck.tourismus.com "In Austria, the Santa Claus equivalent is St. Nicholas. St. Nicholas comes with Krampus, his darker side... Large, foreboding, black-clad and antlers on his head, some 60 Krampus figures will roam the streets of Gtzens as of 7:30pm." - WWW.innsbruck.tourismus.com WHAT ABOUT ST. NICHOLAS WHY DOES HE HANG OUT WITH THE DEVIL ? "Most religious historians and experts in folklore believe that there is no valid evidence to indicate that St. Nicholas ever existed as a human.

They can find no evidence of him, like they do with other members of the clergy of the time. In fact, there are quite a few indicators that his life story was simply recycled from those of Pagan gods. So you see, the church leaders at that time are responsible for a great fraud upon society, which has never been corrected to this day, of both Christ's birthday and celebration and that of Santa Claus." - Falsehoods of Religion Foisted on a Gullible Society By Eileen T. Now meet the Krampus, a boozy goat-horned menace that whips children around Europe." - Santa's Not-So-Little Helper; by Clay Risen 4-December-2002 The Morning News

This is just a small glimpse into the evil side of Santa Claus and the true origins of Christmas. Satan candy coats his pagan holidays - to trick Christians into celebrating them. Think of the joy Satan feels as he has blinded the minds of mankind. Is any of this something that Christ would want to be part of ?
