Connecting Cables
1. To access to the Internet, connect one end of an
Ethernet cable to the WAN port of RG54SE, and the
other end to your xDSL/Cable Modem.
2. For wired connection to the network devices, connect
one end of an Ethernet cable to the LAN port (1~4) of
RG54SE, and the other end to your computers/
devices.
3. For wireless connection, install the wireless adapters
onto your computers, and you have to configure re
spective set tings on your computers (refer to your
wireless adapter's manual) to take full advantages of
the RG54SE.

tomize the network settings. Whenever you want to con-
figure the respective settings, open your web browser (e.
g. Internet Explorer), and type the default IP address 192.
168.1.254 in the Address bar and press [Enter]. Then, type
admin in the User name and Password box, then click OK.

Step 3 The Home window of the Configuration Utility will appear
as below, which provides two options to select: Setup
Wizard and Customized Configuration.
The Setup Wizard provides a step-by-step to guide you
through the basic settings of the gateway. Generally, after
completing the steps in this option, your RG54SE can con-
nect to the ISP and your client computers can access to the
Internet without any problem. If you want to configure the
settings according your network environment, please re-
fer to the instruction in the User Manual to complete the
settings in Customized Configuration.
Select Setup Wizard then click Next to continue Step 4.

Step 4 According to the connection type you are using, click the
respective option to configure the settings. If you are not
sure of which setting to select, please contact your Internet
Service Provider.
Click one of the options above and enter the information
required, and then click Next to continue Step 5.
Step 5 1. Static IP
If your broadband access is through a xDSL modem and
your ISP assigned you a static IP address, select this option.
Enter the Internet IP Address acquired from the ISP
provider.

2. Dynamic IP
If your broadband access is through a cable modem, se-
lect this option. Before using this setting, your computer
should be registered on the ISPs network.
3. PPPoE
If your broadband access is through a xDSL modem and
your ISP did not assign you a static IP address, select this
option. Enter your User Name and Password for dial-up
network.

4. PPTP/L2TP
These options are used mostly in Europe. Select your IP
Mode and enter My IP Address, Server IP Address,
User Name and Password. (For details on setting the
two options, please ask your ISP for more instructions.)
Step 6 Click Finish then select Reboot to enable the settings.

Schritt 3 Auf dem Bildschirm erscheint das Hauptfenster des

Optionen: Setup Wizard (Setupassistent) und Custom-

Beim Setup Wizard (Setupassistent) werden Sie Schritt
fr Schritt durch die Grundeinstellungen des Gateway
gefhrt. Normalerweise knnen Sie nach Ausfhren aller
Schri tte mi t dem RG54SE ei ne Verbi ndung zum
Internetdienstanbieter herstellen, und die Client-Computer
knnen problemlos auf das Internet zugreifen. Wenn Sie
die Einstellungen entsprechend Ihrer Netzwerkumgebung
konfigurieren mchten, lesen Sie im Benutzerhandbuch
im Abschnitt Customized Configuration nach.
Whlen Sie Setup Wizard (Setupassistent) und klicken
Sie auf Next (Weiter) und fahren Sie fort mit Schritt 4.

Geben Sie die Internet-IP-Adresse ein, die Sie von Ihrem
Internetdienstanbieter erhalten haben.

Whlen Sie diese Option, wenn die Breitbandverbindung
ber ein Kabelmodem erfolgt. Um diese Einstellung
benutzen zu knnen, muss Ihr Computer im Netzwerk
des Internetdienstanbieters registriert sein.
3. PPPoE
Whlen Sie diese Option, wenn die Breitbandverbindung
ber ein xDSL-Modem erfolgt, Ihr Internetdienstanbieter
Ihnen aber keine statische IP-Adresse zugewiesen hat.
Geben Sie fr die DF-Verbindung Ihre Daten bei User
Name und Password ein.

4. PPTP/L2TP
Diese Optionen werden am meisten in Europa verwendet.
Whlen Sie den IP-Modus aus und geben Sie Ihre Daten bei
My IP Address, Server IP Address, User Name und
Password ei n (ausfhrl i che Informati onen zu den
Einstellungen der zwei Optionen erhalten Sie bei Ihrem
Internetdienstanbieter).
Schritt 6 Klicken Sie auf Finish und whlen Sie Reboot, um die
Einstellungen zu aktivieren.

1. Pour accder Internet, connectez une extrmit
dun cble Ethernet au port WAN du RG54SE, et lautre
extrmit votre modem xDSL/Cble.
2. Pour la connexion filaire aux priphriques du rseau,
connectez une extrmit dun cble Ethernet au port
LAN (1~4) du RG54SE, et lautre extrmit vos
ordinateurs/ priphriques.

tape 3 La fentre Accueil de lutilitaire de configuration apparatra
comme ci-dessous, vous avez le choix entre deux options:
Setup Wizard (Assistant dinstallation) et Custom-
ized Configuration (Configuration personnalise).
LAssistant dinstallation offre une aide pas pas
pour vous guider parmi les paramtres de base de la
passerelle. Gnralement, aprs avoir effectu les tapes
de cette option, votre RG54SE peut se connecter lISP
et vos ordinateurs clients peuvent accder Internet
sans problme. Si vous voulez configurer les paramtres
en fonction de votre environnement de rseau, reportez-
vous aux instructions du manuel de lutilisateur pour rgler
les paramtres dans la Configuration personnalise.
Slectionnez Assistant dinstallation puis cliquez sur
Next (Suivant) pour continuer par lEtape 4.

dress (lAdresse IP Internet) acquise auprs de votre

2. IP dynamique
Si votre accs large bande se fait travers un modem
par cble, slectionnez cette option. Avant dutiliser ce
paramtre, votre ordinateur doit tre enregistr sur le
rseau de votre ISP.
3. PPPoE
Si votre accs large bande se fait travers un modem
xDSL et que votre ISP ne vous a pas attribu une adresse
IP statique, slectionnez cette option. Saisissez votre
User Name (Nom dutilisateur) et votre Password
(Mot de passe) pour accs rseau distance.

4. PPTP/L2TP
Ces options sont utilises principalement en Europe.
Slectionnez votre Mode IP et entrez My IP Address
(Mon adresse IP), Server IP Address (Adresse IP
du serveur), Nom dutilisateur et Mot de passe. (Pour
les dtails sur le paramtrage des deux options, veuillez
vous adresser votre ISP pour plus dinformations.)

Paso 1 Conecte un extremo de un cable Ethernet al puerto LAN
(1~4) del RG54SE y el otro extremo a sus ordenadores.
Paso 2 El MSI RG54SE le ofrece una utilidad intuitiva para
personalizar la configuracin de la red. Cuando desee
configurar la configuracin respectiva, abra el explorador
de la web (p. ej. Internet Explorer) y escriba la direccin IP
predeterminada 192.168.1.254 en la barra de direccin y

Paso 3 Aparecer l a ventana de Ini ci o de l a Uti l i dad de

Paso 4 Segn el tipo de conexin utilizado, haga clic en la opcin
respectiva para ajustar la configuracin. Si no est seguro
de qu confi guraci n sel ecci onar, contacte con su
Proveedor de Servicios de Internet (ISP).
Haga clic en una de las opciones anteriores e introduzca
la informacin requerida y haga clic en Next (Siguiente)

3. PPPoE
Si su acceso a banda ancha es a travs de mdem xDSL
y su ISP no le ha asignado una direccin IP esttica,
seleccione esta opcin. Introduzca su User Name
(Nombre de usuario) y Password (Contrasea) para
conectar a la red.

4. PPTP/L2TP
Estas opciones se utilizan principalmente en Europa.
Seleccione su modo IP e introduzca My IP Address (Mi
direccin IP), Server IP Address (Direccin IP del
servidor), User Name (Nombre de usuario) y Pass-
word (Contrasea). (Para detalles sobre la configuracin
de l as dos opci ones, pregunte a su ISP para ms
instrucciones).
Paso 6 Haga clic en Finish (Finalizar) y seleccione Reboot
(Reiniciar) para activar la configuracin.

Fase 3 La finestra della Pagina Iniziale dellUtilit di Configurazione
sar visualizzata come di seguito mostrando due opzioni: Setup
Wizard (Installazione Guidata) e Customized Configu-
ration (Configurazione Personalizzata).
Installazione Guidata fornisce una guida passo a
passo attraverso le impostazioni di base del gateway. In
generale alla conclusione delle fasi di questa opzione,
RG54SE pu connettersi all ISP e i computer client
possono accedere a Internet senza problemi. Se si
desidera configurare le impostazioni secondo il proprio
ambiente di rete, consultare le istruzioni contenute nel
Manuale dellUtente per completare le impostazioni in
Configurazione Personalizzata.
Selezionare Setup Wizard quindi fare click su Next
(Avanti) per passare alla Fase 4.

Fase 4 A seconda del tipo di connessione, fare click sulla rispettiva
opzione per configurare le impostazioni. In caso di dubbio
sullimpostazione da selezionare, contattare il proprio pro-
vider dei servizi Internet.
Fare click one su una delle opzioni sopra e immettere le
informazioni richieste e fare click su Next (Invia) per
passare alla Fase 5.
Fase 5 1. Static IP
Se laccesso a banda larga avviene tramite un modem xDSL
e il vostro ISP vi ha assegnato un indirizzo IP statico,
selezionare questa opzione. Inserire Internet IP Address
(lIndirizzo Internet IP) acquisito dal provider ISP.

2. IP Dinamico
Se laccesso a banda larga avviene tramite un modem
cablato, selezionare questa opzione. Prima di usare
questa impostazione, il computer dovrebbe essere
registrato sulla rete di ISP.
3. PPPoE
Se laccesso a banda larga avviene tramite un modem
xDSL e il vostro ISP non vi ha assegnato un indirizzo IP
statico, selezionare questa opzione. Inserire User Name
(Nome Utente) e Password per lAccesso Remoto.

Queste opzioni si usano per lo pi in Europa. Selezionare
la Modalit IP e inserire My IP Address (Indirizzo IP
Personale), Server IP Address (Indirizzo del Servere

Stap 3 Het thuis-venster van het configuratie-hulpprogramma
wordt hieronder weergegeven, waarin u de keuze heeft
uit twee opties: Setup Wizard [Installatie-wizard] en Cus-
tomized Configuration [Aangepaste configuratie].
De Installatie-wizard zal u stap voor stap door de
basisinstellingen van de gateway [toegangspoort] heen
loodsen. Nadat deze stappen in deze optie zijn voltooid
wordt uw RG54SE meestal op de ISP aangesloten en
kunnen de computers van uw clinten probleemloos
toegang tot het Internet krijgen. Als u de instellingen
vol gens uw net werkomgevi ng wi l t conf i gureren,
raadpleegt u de aanwijzingen in de Gebruikershandleiding
om de instellingen in de Customized Configuration
[Aangepaste configuratie] te voltooien.
Selecteer Setup Wizard [Installatie-wizard] en klik
vervolgens op Next [Volgende] om verder te gaan met
Stap 4.

Stap 4 Volgens het door u gebruikte aansluitingstype klikt u op de
van toepassi ng zij nde opti e om de i nstel l i ngen te
configureren. Als u er niet zeker van bent welke instelling
u moet selecteren, neemt u contact op met uw Internet
Service Provider.
Klik op n van de bovenstaande opties, voer de vereiste
informatie in en klik dan op Next [Volgende] om verder te
gaan met Stap 5.
Stap 5 1. Statische IP
Als uw broadband-toegang via een xDSL modem verloopt
en uw ISP u een statisch IP adres heeft toegekend,
selecteert u deze optie. Voer het door uw ISP-provider
toegekende Internet-IP-adres in.

2. Dynamische IP
Als uw broadband-toegang via een kabelmodem verloopt,
selecteert u deze optie. Voordat u deze instelling gebruikt,
moet uw computer op het netwerk van de ISP staan
geregistreerd.
3. PPPoE
Als uw broadband-toegang via een xDSL modem verloopt en
uw ISP u geen statisch IP adres heeft toegewezen, selecteert
u deze optie. Voer uw User Name [Gebruikersnaam] en
Password [Wachtwoord] in voor het inbelnetwerk.

4. PPTP/L2TP
Deze opties worden meestal in Europa gebruikt. Selecteer
uw IP-modus en voer My IP Address [Mijn IP-adres],
Server IP Address [Server-IP-adres], User Name
[Gebruikersnaam] en Password [Wachtwoord] in.
(Voor details om de twee opties in te kunnen stellen,
verzoekt u uw ISP om nadere aanwijzingen.)
Stap 6 Klik op Finish [Voltooien], selecteer dan [Reboot]
Opnieuw opstarten om de instellingen te activeren.

Nadat de instellingen zijn voltooid, kunt u de instellingen fijnafstemmen
door Customized Configuration [Aangepaste configuratie]
te selecteren. De stappen zijn gelijk aan die van Stap 2, maar

Passo 3 A janela Home (Incio) do utilitrio de configurao aparecer
conforme a seguir oferecendo duas opes para seleco:
Setup Wizard (Assistente de ajuda) e Customized
Configuration (configurao personalizada).
O Setup Wizard (Assistente de ajuda) fornece
instrues passo a passo para ori entar sobre as
configuraes bsicas do gateway. Geralmente, aps
concluir os passos nesta opo, seu RG54SE pode
conectar o ISP e seus computadores clientes podem
aceder a Internet sem qualquer problema. Se pretender
configurar as definies de acordo com seu ambiente
de rede, consulte a instruo no manual de utilizador
par a concl ui r as def i ni es em conf i gur aes
personalizadas.
Seleccione Setup Wizard e depois clique em Next
(Seguinte) para continuar para o Passo 4.

Se utilizar a banda larga atravs de um modem de cabo,

deve registar seu computador na rede ISP.
3. PPPoE
Se utilizar banda larga atravs do modem xDSL e seu IP
atribuiu um endereo IP esttico, seleccione esta opo.
Ingresse seu User Name and Password (nome e
palavra-passe de utilizador) para a rede discagem.

4. PPTP/L2TP
Estas opes so mais usadas na Europa. Seleccione seu
modo IP e ingresse My IP Address, Server IP Address,
