Epistemology: a contemporary introduction to the theory of knowledge by Robert Audi, published by Routledge (1998) Not aimed at AS Level students but teachers may find sections of the book useful. Why should I be governed? An Introduction to Political Philosophy by Jonathan Wolff, published by Oxford University Press (1996) Should challenge more able students, the first two chapters are particularly appropriate to this theme. Human Conduct: An Introduction to the Problems of Ethics by John Hospers, published by Rupert Hart-Davis (1970) Accessible: includes an essay why be moral? covering material relevant to this theme. Moral Philosophy: a guide to ethical theory by Cardinal, Jones and Hayward, published by Hodder Murray (2006) Accessible, covers a range of ethical theories relevant to this theme.
