Good afternoon, its Friday, September 20, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. and youre listening to 90.3 WKNJ-FM, Union, New Jersey, and Im Camille-Danielle with the news. In Local News... (SADLY) Two teenagers were arrested and charged with a murder of a 23-year-old man named Quivon Wilson. The murder took place on Hobson street at around 4:15 p.m. in Irvington, New Jersey, where Wilson resided. According to the Essex Countys Prosecutors chief of detectives, Anthony Ambrose, Wilson and teenagers were undergoing some unknown criminal activity when the attack occurred. Both teenagers were taken into Essex County Youth Facility where they were charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and conspiracy to commit murder. By: Sean Augenstein NEWARK Two juveniles were arrested and charged with the Thursday afternoon murder of an Irvington man, authorities said. Quivon Wilson, 23, was gunned down on the 200-block of Hobson Street around 4:15 p.m., said Anthony Ambrose, the Essex County Prosecutors chief of detectives. Wilson and the two juveniles were engaging in some kind of criminal activity together when the attack occurred, Ambrose said, without specifying the activity. An off-duty police detective was key in making the arrests, Ambrose said. Immediately after the gunfire, Det. Brian Logan of the Newark police helped identify and locate the two teens and on-duty officers quickly tracked them down, the chief added. The prosecutors office credits the officer and the department with a quick response which led to the arrests, Ambrose said. Weapons were recovered after the arrest of the two teens, Ambrose said.
