ANNUAL WORK PLAN

SAN VICENTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ACTION PLAN FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2013-2014 AREAS OF CONCERN I.PUPIL DEVELOPMENT 1.Low MPS results Improve the results of MPS by at least 2% in all subject areas. -Utilization of the test results to improve MPS -Conduct remedial teaching - Use of intervention materials to enhance teaching -Use varied approaches in teaching for more retention of knowledge. -Conduct remedial reading regularly -Use of charts and flashcards -Use of different reading materials suited to their. learning capacities -Initiate brainstorming/semantic webbing before reading - Follow up reading at home. -Regular use of flashcards and window cards. -Use of counters and concrete materials. -Integrate the concept by doing th e Practical Work Approaches(PWA) in Mathematics for more understanding of the lesson. -Regular use of APAW(A Problem a Week) to develop their skills in problem solving. STAFF DEVELOPMENT 1, Low competency of the teacher in content and teaching strategies in the new K to 12 Curriculum Upgrade the competency of the teacher in content and teaching strategies Review/thorough study of the K to 12 Curriculum to put skills which can help and boost out teaching techniques and strategies. E PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT 1.Broken wood jalousies Repair of the broken wood jalousies of the classroom.
