Medical Device Failure Analysis

When a product is failing, a manufacturing line goes down or a product is recalled, you want the most experienced failure investigators on your team.
Stress Engineering Services (SES) is ready to deploy high level engineering expertise and measurement, and we make the following pledge: k We will respond quickly, typically within a business day. l We will apply our process to identify the root causes. m We will tell you how to fix the problem so that it will not happen again. ......................................................................
Extensive Failure Analysis Experience
SES investigates dozens of failures every year as opposed to most manufacturers who see one or two. As a result of this experience we have developed a failure response protocol. This protocol enables us to rapidly characterize the nature of the failure, identify key issues, and develop an appropriate action plan. Based on the nature of the problem, SES will typically deploy selected experts to client facilities to interview relevant personnel and collect information from an impartial perspective. D medical.stress.com This team is often made up of experts in component design, materials, manufacturing, quality control and reliability. They work with your personnel to: Document what is failing Develop hypotheses regarding contributing factors and root causes Verify hypotheses through testing and/or analysis Develop and implement solutions to fix the problem Verify the fix

Tools and Resources

In our nearly 40 year history, SES has developed a library of specific procedures for failure analysis and an inventory of customized test equipment. These tools allow us to rapidly diagnose the nature and root causes of failures as well as provide supporting data. Some of Stress Engineering's investigative tools and procedures include: Materials characterization Tolerance analysis Manufacturing simulation Non-linear finite element analysis Experimental product performance characterization Metrology Accelerated life testing
