You are advised to speand about 30 minutes on this question.

Read the passage and answer the question that follows.

The healing properties of plants, fruits, minerals and spices

haven been used for centuries. Most of them can be found in your mother’s
kitchen! Here are 2 ingredients that can be used to treat common ailments.

Ginger has been used for thousands of years by our ancestors.

It may reduce gastric pains caused by acid in the stomach. It also appears to
inhibit or restrain the ‘vomiting center’ in the brain. This may help people
combat with travel sickness. Taking a small pinch of powdered ginger at the
first sign of a headache can help reduce the pain.

The next ingredient that is an effective home remedy is the aloe

vera plant. This thorny plant is normally used in beauty products. The sap that
oozes when the leaf is cut can be used as a painkiller. The sap or gel can
also be used to treat minor cuts on the skin as well as soothe sunburn. It is
applied the same way as any normal anti-septic cream.

Write a summary on the benefits of ginger and aloe vera

Your summary must

* not be more than 60 words, including the 10 words given below.
* be in continuous writing (not in note form)
* be written in ONE paragraph.

Use your own words as far as possible without changing the original meaning.

Begin your summary as follows:

4 Day Trip to Taman Negara, Pahang

On the 22nd of June, The Ministry of Education organized a camping

trip to Taman Negara in Pahang. There were 10 students from various
schools who were chosen to attend this trip. We went by a long boat along the
Pahang river. After about an hour we reached the jetty of the park. The
chalets were all surrounded by dense trees.

It started raining shortly after we checked in. We had a quick lunch and
the park ranger took us hiking through the jungle. It was very wet due to the
rain. We saw some animals along the trail but none as beautiful as the green
boa that was on a branch. We returned back to the chalet around 6.30pm.

The next morning, after breakfast Atan, an ‘orang asli’ or native man of
the jungle took us cave exploring, more commonly called ‘caving’. When we
first went into the caves, it was really dark. Atan had a bright head lamp. We
saw many bats hanging from the roof of the cave.

On the 24th of June, we went rapid-shooting. Due to the rain the current
was really strong. We were going really fast down the river. The ranger was
really good at steering the boat. We were all really excited with that boat ride.

Our departure was the next morning after breakfast. The trip was truly
an unforgettable experience.

The most interesting character in this novel is Dr. Henry Jekyll. He was
a respected and distinguished doctor who unfortunately had an evil alter ego
lurking in him. He was a man of virtues and also a generous person. He sadly
experimented on potions and thus turned himself into Mr. Hyde, the evil alter
ego. One example of this evil was when he ran over a girl and did not stop to
help. He also killed Sir Danvers Carew.

Dr. Jekyll was well aware of his wrongdoings but Mr. Hyde thought that
being cruel was all right. Mr. Hyde consumed the good natured Dr. Jekyll. The
latter could not control Mr. Hyde, which led to Dr. Jekyll taking his own life.

Although it was his own actions that brought out the evil Mr. Hyde, the
fact that Dr. Jekyll sacrificed his life so that Mr. Hyde could never torment
anyone else makes him a very interesting character. He started it all, and it
was he who ended it as well.
